The problem with your answer is part three. ??? More then stars

Here are the clues:
It can be found in Jordon ( and lots of other areas )
it can be found in White, Black, and Green ( Possible other colors but those are the most common )
and there is more of it then there are stars.

Now what is it?

It can get wet.but thats not it. Current there are more of ???? then there are stars. It has also been that way.

haha.. yes, after thinking a while, I always end up with that answer too.

Okay, I kinda cheated... i just typed in white, green and black at google (just for fun, I didn't expect it to come up with anything proper...) and it actually came up with an answer I like quite a bit... even though I'm not sure if it fulfills the "more than stars" condition

Sayumi, funny, our minds seem to work in a very similar way. I also googled the three colors, finding "tea", but didn't suggest it as an answer as I doubted it would fulfill the "more than stars" condition. My previous guess "moss" didn't do it either.

Yeah, white tea is delicious! A bit expensive, though.

The only other things I can think of are
Pebbles, stones, or sand, or an element of the periodic table,...
