Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
Well I figure, to exhaust my cache of these riddles...
After going to the peaceful village from the previous truth-telling riddle, you hear of a curious island in the middle of the sea, hardly known to the world (due to its small area, it's about an acre in size), on which there's an ancient tower. Because the tower is pretty tall for the work of the ancient peoples who inhabited the desert island (it's about 10 stories tall or more), it's said that if you visit it, it will bestow upon you some of the luck of the ancient people who built it if you take the time to visit it. You decide to look for it yourself, and get on a boat and sail to the island with someone to guide you.
As you arrive on shore, you immediately find a path and you start taking it until... you reach a fork in the road. The road splits into three paths this time though, and you don't know which one leads to the tower. Also at the fork in the road, you see three people walking around, and the guide tells you a bit about them. "You see," he says, "there are four families that live on this island that are descendants of the ancient people. They are..."
- The Originals, from which the people of the peaceful village are descended, who always tell the truth, and built the tower originally
- The Fakers, from which the thieves come from, who always lie, and are said to have furnished the tower originally
- The Connivers, who you can never be quite sure if they're telling the truth or not, and are said to have always hated the tower
- The Meeklys, who are so insecure that they won't talk if spoken to unless someone from another family has already spoken to you, and are said to worship the tower
"... unfortunately, I don't know who here is from which family, and which family isn't represented here at all. I can tell you that each person here is from a different family, though. We have to be quick though, so we only have time for you to ask two questions to them to find out which path to take."
So, once again, it's come to this. What do you ask the people at the fork in the road?

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
Is it "two questions to each person", "two questions that every one of them answers" or simply "two questions and two answers"?
Spoiler:
By "above" do you mean the BFR#4? There is no research needed. Solving it is all about some common sense and lots of imagination.sstimson wrote: I got a theory about the Above. But before I post it I need to do a little research.

same as the previous one as in only two questions total, to whichever people you wanteworm wrote: Is it "two questions to each person", "two questions that every one of them answers" or simply "two questions and two answers"?
Spoiler:
unfortunately, you paid attention to the background and got the correct answer anyway, no questions are needed.

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
XD Seriously?
Okay, so it's my time for a riddle, huh... I'm gonna improvise. And since I'm playing Pokemon right now...
This time there are six different Pokemon for the friends to choose from, and they're: Click on each to view the most detailed info on them ever. It's going to come in handy, though I won't torture you with the complicated stuff.
Here are the clues:
1. After the Pokemon are chosen, professor shall be left with one Pokemon of each type (grass, fire, water). In other words - one of the three friends is going to take a fire type, one will take a water type and one - a grass type Pokemon.
2. Nooz has a phobia of sort - he's totally afraid of birds. Also, he tends to like Pokemon that Obby doesn't.
3. Obby's going to pick his Pokemon after Liz, in order to let her has a type advantage. He wants his Pokemon to fit just one, certain criterion and there are Pokemon like that among every type here, so it doesn't really matter for him what type Liz will choose.
4. Liz isn't going to challenge the gyms like the boys - she wants to compete in Pokemon Beauty Contests. Also, she wants her Pokemon to evolve as fast as possible.
Heh, okay. Try your best. It's not that difficult and doesn't really require any detailed Pokemon knowledge. I mean, everybody knows that water beats fire, fire beats grass and grass beats water, right? It's that level.
No need to PM me this time
Just use the spoiler tags.
So I heard u liek Mudkipz? ^^

PokeRiddle #1 ;D
Three friends - Nooz, Obby and Obby's girlfriend Liz - are going to start their Pokemon adventure. Your task is to guess which starter Pokemon they're most likely to take, using the hints provided and the info available after clicking on the Pokemon sprites. This time there are six different Pokemon for the friends to choose from, and they're: Click on each to view the most detailed info on them ever. That's not even a solution. It's incomplete. Liz and Obby. What Pokemon do you think they'll choose?

Wrong, sorry.
Also notice that Liz is Obby's girlfriend. Yes, Obby's totally a "he". I support normality.

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
pokémon beauty contests are a little too vague ..... aren't they based on the movesets instead of appearance in the games? Though if it has nothing to do with stats -
... just wondering. is it important for us to know what criteria Obby is looking for?

Re: Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread
CORRECT.
Nooz is afraid of birds and yet he wants to travel and challenge the gyms - he will need a flying Pokemon but not a bird he's afraid of. Charmander is the only one that will be able to fly after evolution.
Liz wants a pretty Pokemon even after evolution so both the grass types fit best. Chikorita evolves faster than Snivy so that's Liz's choice.
Obby likes quadrupedal Pokemon for some reason, and since Liz picked a grass type, he takes a water one - Mudkip. I heard u liek them?
See? It wasn't very difficult.
But how fitting for someone called Red to solve a Pokemon Riddle
Your turn, Red.
