Eww, why does Takagi have glasses now?
He only wore them once as part of a disguise, so he shouldn't have that item. Yeah, it makes him differently from Chiba a bit. But him and Chiba having stake-out, which feels worse than investigate most of the time (and no other special abilities like the other police roles) makes them already the least useful police. Well, I guess at least it makes it harder for the BO to figure out Tome when they steal glasses from a character that they know from is a police.
Still, I don't like the change. Just like Mitsuhiko should not suddenly get glasses, because he used Conans tracking glasses during one or two cases. Even if it would make him different from Genta (who has identical abilities and items as well).
Before forcing items like this on characters where they don't fit, I would rather introduce new items. Like for example... snacks. (Obvious carriers for them would be Genta and Chiba. And it would be easier to justify giving them to other characters as well - like everyone which has a stoutly build (Megure, Agasa, Vodka, Jirokichi (does that poor guy really have to have a gem taken from him every time?), etc.) or characters where it seems fitting (Eri, Asami, Sonoko, Heiji, Kazuha, Okuda, etc.).

- If that player claim prove an ability, he can be BO. such as : Gin ( investigating ), Korn / Chianti (stake out / observe) Vodka ( discombobulated) or he can be any other BO that using black suitcase
- even if that person is proven by DB, he/she can be a 2 side lover with a BO
so only trust your fellow DB ( if you are DB)
or your lover (if you are lover)
other then that.. trust no one!

Just wondering? Can DBs be lovers now? Or how should I understand the last "hint" instead? Beside, you can also trust Sonoko if she befriended you. Or if you are Sonoko you can trust your BFF if he/she is a role than Vermouth can't disguise as.

And those items should have a larger range. Since School book is already almost just for town players. While all other items are kinda in the inventory of BO and Town. While Gun and Alcohol is an item that almost every BO has.

DBs can't be lovers. I think what xpon meant was, that if you prove someone as Akai with identify, then that player is Akai for 100%. @glasses: I don't really see a need to "rebalance" anything about their items. And even if there was, it should not be done by giving him an item that he just does not have. Takagi does not wear glasses.
If you really wanted to make Takagi and Chiba have different items, then removing an item from one of them (car keys, since I don't think any of them OWNS a car) would probably the better choice.
Again: I don't think there is a need for anything to be fixed here, because there are characters that have the same items (and even abilities) and as far as I know there hasn't been a problem with it yet. And if we change something we should have it stay in-canon.

But it's still easier and less de-balancing other characters if you give him glasses. I don't see a problem here game wise. It's just that you don't like it because it's not "canon". But you also argued with other things before, that not everything has to be 100% canon.
I for example usually ask: "Want an alliance?" and don't say any info yet.
If I can investigate or have an ability that can't narrow you down, I sometimes say that I can investigate or do another ability. Tho I don't do that so much anymore since people don't want an alliance with me. Which means I gave them info without getting anything back :x
