What is with the breaks being so common?); I want more action, this case was pretty easy to solve, dunno what role Kuroda will play, tho.

By the way, isn't there another 2 weeks break after this case is over? That's what I heard... it seems Gosho was hospitalized in December, that's why. Not sure though.

I've got to say, the moment when it looked like Yamoto was screwed after confronting Akiyama alone, before the SWAT-like team showed themselves was pretty anti-climatic and cool at the same time.

I know it has been said already but seriously what the hell is up with all these breaks? Keep the show moving. As for the Rum situation I'm not too surprised I guess. Now that I think of it, there is a strong chance the revelation may come on the milestone of the 1000th chapter.

Typical Gosho will prob end up making Koruda head of Japanese Secret Police and Bourbon's(forgot his real name) boss . Remember back in the day how long Shuichi ended up being suspicious. Rum may end up being Akai's father.

Basically, out of 21 weeks where a chapter could have been published (19 if you take out the hospitalisation), Gosho wrote one (whether it's DC or MK) 15 times.

reading through the Japanese raw of 917.....

X is the 24th letter of the alphabet.... Takeda Shingen had 24 Generals......Yamamoto Kansuke was one of those 24 Generals..... Kano's original name Tsuchiya is for Tsuchiya Masatsugu...... Akiyama new name was for Akiyama Nobutomo.... Saegusa's name is for Saegusa Moritomo..... all of whom are among the 24 Generals....

The text message from Yamato to Koumei was the final words of the General Yamamoto Kansuke, which had Uehara worried about him.

the sideways box at the end of the chapter is Kogoro saying that he forgot to eat some Shinshuu soba (noodles). Shinshuu is one of the older names for Nagano prefecture.

On File 917 page 2, the message written "Morofushi's car", Yamato usually address Morofushi as Koumei instead of Morofushi, so it mean that this message obviously not written by Yamato, yet Saegusa didn't notice.

Since Akiyama already placed a headless body on the tree, why he still need to use fake head to fake his death as he didn't plan to (or should not) let other persons saw him decapitated, what if other persons rush to the cliff on time, they may see Akiyama's "corpse" and headless body on a tree. Akiyama must hurry and hide himself before other persons coming to the cliff and don't need to hide a fake head in the hood of his jacket and pretend to be decapitated at all, otherwise his trick will be failed. Plus now did Akiyama guarantee the tree branch will not break when he was fell off the cliff and hung on the tree.

For people who have been reading the english scans as of late this might be something that would be lost. Somewhere along the line between it being translated from Japanese into Chinese and then Chinese into English some of the names that people call each other by get switched around. So many of them might not have caught that.

In the Japanese scan Koumei always calles Yamato by "Kansuke-kun, but in the english version of 915 they have him say "Yamato" at one point. Literally on the next page Kuroda calls Yamato by the name "Yamato" but the English scan says "Kansuke". In chapter 916 when Koumei makes the black sheep comment Yamato calls Koumei by "Koumei" but the english scan says "Taka'aki"

For anyone who had read that english version and saw "taka'aki" there, they might not have seen anything wrong with "morofushi" in the next chapter.

I do see File 917 RAW file, the message indeed written Morofushi, that's why I talk about the flaw of that message.

This English translator even named mysterious child with different name like Little Sister From "Outside The Territory" from File 903 page 2 sidenote and "Another Dimension" from File 905 last page side note, which DCTP used "Outside The Domain" instead.
