Really?! Awesome! =D I knew things like this exist but I wasn't sure it would work here. That's great! Now I want this game to be available even more! ^^

Yeah, look for an emu with "$" sign in their title, and You should be set. However, we cannot help You in finding a dump of the game - You must do that Yourself.
My dad’s a soldier blue I’ll be a soldier, too
When I grow older you will see me rescue you
I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along
When I am dead and gone the day won’t be so long.

Just a single sentence with a few words to tell us any update about the game

Truthfully, I'm very pleased that this project hasn't been taken down as well in light of the current events that have occurred on this site.
So much effort has been put into this, and it would be a shame for everyone involved to just simply drop the project after working on it for so long.
I think even if the project takes a long time to finish, it will be up to quality standards once it's completed.
Good job DCTP, keep at it

We'll try to share a few new updates in the next couple of weeks. It's a little difficult to share things from this game, specifically, beyond the first couple of chapters as most of it would constitute spoilers of past and future events.
Just know we've still got this on the docket.

I'd be ok with percentages. Even if it's 70-80% done or something like that :V ;-X

Whee!!! Maybe we get to play it for Christmas? I am VERY much looking forward to it! (Although I still haven't bought the flashcart thing. ~_~* Still trying to find a job. ~_~*)
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

We're going to go through and take inventory on exactly what's left; I'll keep you guys posted on it and estimate it the best I can at that point.Jecka wrote:I'd be ok with percentages. Even if it's 70-80% done or something like that :V ;-X

I am actually really thrilled to see that this project is coming to an end soon.
Ever since the project officially began in 2011, I saw the progress bit by bit and was happy.
Thank you, for doing this community a favor, and sharing your knowledge
so that people who doesn't have the ability to read Japanese gets to have an oppourtunity
to play the game in the language that many of us are more familiar with.
This community just gives people joy in anyway possible.
Again, thanks for the effort put into the game and not dropping it midway.
Edit:
I remember part of the game requiring knowledge of Hiragana.
Are you guys going to do something about this?
Nvm, while going through the pages, I saw the issue being handled.

Re: [DCTP] "Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files: Chance Encounter of 2 Great Detectives" for Nintendo DS (Coming in 2014!)
Here's an update on exactly what's left, for those curious:
— The translation for all of the nearly 500 scripts covering all seven chapters of gameplay is 100% complete.
— The editing of the primary game is roughly 60% or so complete. This process goes by quickly at this point, given that everything has been standardized and touched up as we've gone along. All that hinders this is working out any kinks we come across in the game itself as we move through it. By the time the last script is edited, the rest of the game should be virtually entirely complete given how we work.
— The keyword database descriptions are not complete and currently stand at about 20%. These are the short descriptions (usually one to two lines) when you meet a character, pick up some evidence, or hear some testimony. If you have seen the earlier playtest videos, you'll recognize these. They don't take long to do, so I don't imagine this will hold up the project itself.
— The explanations for the tutorials before certain mini-games and in-game events is currently being translated. These span several scripts in total but should not take long to finish.
— The final graphics are all lined up to be finished shortly. All of the graphics related to the mini-games were completed recently and will be tested in the game come the next build. We've already handled several hundred graphics, leaving only about 30-40 total graphical translations to sort out. This leaves us at about 90% complete on all of the graphics, and there have been a lot.
My estimation is the total project is around 75% complete at this point. We're working really hard right now to wrap things up and of course want it to be released by year's end. Ultimately, though, our goal is to ensure that we do this project right and meet everyone's expectations as it will no doubt be the final DCTP project of its sort.
