Oh my, they're giving Bourbon a backstory! There're 2 outcomes of this, I think.
1. Shinichi is going to turn Bourbon traitor to the org. Bourbon, though willing to let bad things happen to people, has been remarkably non-murderous, and he is protecting Conan. So, Shinichi could "save" Bourbon from the bad path he's heading down, like Vermouth.
2. He's gunna die. Less likely because Goushou doesn't do that to characters who are in the story for more than one story arc, but it could be setting up a tragedy like Miyano Akemi's case.
Or it could be a combination of the two.
That's my prediction anyways. Take it with a grain of salt because it's really too early to tell.

I think your first idea is more likely.Gosho spent time to built a backgroung to Amuro,always showing that he's a good person deep inside.So I guess he'll be a Vermouth number 2,but more on Ai's side(because of the link he had with her mother)
I mean Amuro has a lot of fans,killing him wouldn't be Gosho's style.Akemi was killed in her intoduction case so it's a different situation.

Oh, so I see you've been reading the topic on Ran's suspicions. Well, the general consensus is that she's learned by this point that whenever she hints that she knows the truth, Conan/Shinichi will find a way to prove her wrong. So, she's intentionally keeping her knowledge a secret to continue observing him. At least, we'd all like for that to be true. She's not daft; she's actually quite intelligent (having solved a case pretty much on her own and all). It'd be great if she had a chance to show it again, especially since she's been on the sidelines lately...

I can read Japanese, but not Chinese, and it seems to appear on the web translated in Chinese before Japanese, leaving me befuddled and slightly annoyed.

It certainly seems that way to me (and to several others, apparently), and what she says does seem suspicious enough to point out that it's her, but we definitely need more info/backstory panels to determine that for sure. Hopefully, more will be revealed after the resolution of the case (which is where most plot development seems to happen). For now, we have no choice but to wait patiently for more files! (Pointless speculation on nonexistent information is pointless)

I thought the same thing, but with over 800 files and episodes I've seen character traits reused for multiple characters. To the new file in general, I feel we are in for a twist. Bourbon has been set up as someone who is on par with Conan in terms of intelligence. He is calculating and I do not see him getting killed. Due to the backstory and now how he sees Conan and Ran's interactions reminding him of his youth, a more likely outcome may be like Vermouth where he knows Conan is a threat but does not turn him over. Personally I hope this isn't the case, because it would move the plot along if he throws Conan under the bus
Speaking of plot and Bourbon, we've also had no build up of Serra's younger mystery girl. The BO is aware of Serra's presence in Japan, you would think that would make her a target as the old BO pre episode 179 had a tendency to leave no traces of family.

Haha, you're right. I found it strange that Sera was not killed by the B.O...could it be they're planning to use her as a guinea pig for information? I'm unsure about that one...The whole plot at this point is getting incredibly confusing and interesting. It's hard to tell what exactly will happen next.
