Detective Conan Files 801-803 Discussion Thread: Domestic Vi

So far from what the manga is leading me to believe is Amuro is Bourbon, Okiya is Akai in disguise, and Sera is an unknown ally.  I'm only speculating so I might be totally off, but I'm thinking Scar Akai is maybe Vermouth in disguise.  When I think about it, there would be pretty good reasons for it.  She'd get a kick out of it for messing with Gin's heads knowing that his rival/enemy is still alive.  I think there's also the chance that Vermouth knew about Jodie being so flustered about Akai being dead that it kept luring her out for some reason since those two are enemies of sort.  There may be other reasons like secretly helping Conan or so.  If there is something that disproves my theory, feel free to point that out xD.

Conan/Shinichi seems to have a good reason as well as a lot of supporting points to see why Okiya isn't Bourbon.  In addition, Conan/Shinichi also seems to have ruled Sera out into being an ally as he at least she doesn't feel like an enemy to him.  Okiya and Sera both seems to developed as characters and seemed to grow on you after a while in addition to the other characters in the manga, but only to see them backstab Conan would make you hope it would be the least thing that could happen.  Only person left is Amuro which has been recently introduced and had little interaction with anyone else.  

It wouldn't be just me if I get feeling that the author will suddenly decide to pull a massive plot twist in making Bourbon into someone that we least expect right?  Like showing Conan made a wrong move in deciding who his allies and enemies are.

Vermouth and Scar Akai were in the same place at the same time during the "Red T-Shirt" case. A "massive plot twist" wouldn't make any sense without at least some clues being planted, there have been none of those. This is only wishful thinking. After reading that case over, I guess I skipped over the panel with Vermouth.  Oops.  It sounded odd, but made sense in a way.

You know, it'd not exactly out of the realm of possibility that Vermouth did appear as Scar Akai at some point or will in the future. She could just simply be switching off with someone else. I recall an earlier case (it was even one of the dubbed episodes on DVD) where a man's fiance and her brother-in-law were taking turns being a person who had been dead and in a well in for some time. They were able to disguise themselves as him without suspicion because he was a burned victim and had to wear bandages. I can't remember the name of the case though

I think part of what makes this harder to wait for is that it's an easier case than usual and has practically been solved. There's nothing to really theorize on over the break since everything has already been said. xD
