It might depend on how old you are when you get them.  I haven't had my wisdom teeth removed at all (and I may be a lucky person that never has to have them removed), but I had braces.

Perhaps it depends on how old you are when you get them...?

I think I was fifteen or sixteen when I got my braces.

I got my top braces when I was pretty young, then I got a retainer for a year or two, then I got braces on both top+bottom, followed by the top+bottom retainer near the end of highschool. Honestly the reason I probably didn't get my wisdom teeth out was because I didn't go to the dentist as often during college, so he wasn't able to go "hmm yep your wisdom teeth are comin in, let's get those out". Really I'd have to ask my dad when I first got braces, but I was pretty young. My wisdom teeth definitely weren't around then, at least.

all in all though, my braces did their major job, I got to keep my wisdom teeth and there's just one tooth that's a bit behind the others, so I can't complain.

I have a teeth far in the back that needs to be removed, though the dentist said that I'll only need to put an elastic band (that I can remove and put whenever I want) between those two teeth in the back. I might go with the procedure after the end of the semester, or I'll wait 'till the summer.

Today was my sister's birthday. Her school evidently misplaced her files, so her name wasn't announced. Also, all her 'friends' forgot about her birthday.

Just heard the news about Dan Green's wife. Poor man, that must be absolutely awful for him D: At least the kids are alright, but raising them alone while grieving for his wife has got to be just awful.
