Today's Bad Stories !

All of the yoga classes are full, and so is the conducting 2 class I was planning to take. So I guess I'll leave both of these for next year, and in the next semester I'll take a liberal art instead. Perhaps that would be even better since then I would only have 3 credits for labs/ensembles. I might not even take an ensemble next semester, but that depends on my ratings.

Getting those fun classes like Yoga or Basketball or Japanese Tea Ceremony (exists in my school, tis badass) as an underclassmen is pretty tough.

Because my old dentist spent years going "oh, I'm sure they'll straighten out soon". Then I got a new dentist when I moved and I had my first appointment with him today and his reaction was roughly "WTF get some braces in there now, by the way you're too old for the NHS to pay for it now".

It's okay. Having braces isn't that bad, trust me. Just make sure you clean your teeth properly when you have them on. Oh, and avoid using your tongue to clean up the bits of food stuck between the braces. I did that and my tongue got stuck on one of the wires, and I had to go out in public and ask my dad for help. O_o

Fair warning, though, you might not be able to eat much for a week because your teeth hurt.

NHS only pays for teeth and eyecare up to the age of 18. It used to be free for everyone forever, back when the NHS was set up in 1946, but within about a year somebody in the treasury went "dude, I know this wasn't intended to be a profitable service, but we're still paying off that whole war thing and we're gonna go downhill faster than Weimar Germany if we don't make people pay for something." Over the years, somebody forgot that the NHS will never and SHOULD never turn a profit, so free-for-life dental and eyecare was never reinstated.

after I got my second round of bracers they gave me two retainers, I only really wore one of em, and due to that when my wisdom teeth came in one of my bottom teeth got pushed back a little bit. It's not anything horrifying or anything, but oh well, probly shoulda listened anyway. :V

and I wouldn't say it's thaat hard to clean your braces with your teeth, just make sure that you don't accidentally pop off a rubber band or two

I thought most people got their wisdom teeth removed before they got braces like I did.

It might depend on how old you are when you get them.  I haven't had my wisdom teeth removed at all (and I may be a lucky person that never has to have them removed), but I had braces.

Perhaps it depends on how old you are when you get them...?
