Yes.   But, evidently, that was temporary (read: a week).  This is for a year plus.  Not sure on the exact time frame.  Even after that, though, is two years of (I think) on-and-off deployment.

I'm having my first day of classes tomorrow. Sembreak has officially ended. I won't be able to visit here often *sighs

So my phone alarm decided to not go off this morning. I had an absolute panic fit when I woke up and saw that it said 10.55, when I had class at 11.15. Cue whirlwind of action that somehow got me dressed, made up, fed and packed in ten minutes, giving me time to get to the classroom... only for it to only last half an hour because the class was meant to be a discussion of our Notions of Theatre essays, which our lecturer hasn't finished marking yet, making todays class pointless. What was the actual point?

electronics aren't immediately destroyed when they get wet, the main problems happen when they're still wet when you use them, then they short out. So as long as you don't try to put them in your computer and you dry them off thoroughly before usage, they should still be fine. Just make sure to wipe the drive off, then open the USB stick to expose the internals (if possible) and stick it in front of a lightbulb (half a foot away or so) for a few days or put it in a bowl of rice for a week or so. If you can't open it, then try those two things but it might take considerably longer.
