maybe okiya=akai=bourbon i mean akai fake his death then go undercover again in disguise in the BO as bourbon

Some F/X (special effects) such as blood pack, bullet proof vest and a special head gear in order to Gin and Vodka a show that they wanted.

The objective is give the Black Organization some relief so that they can lower their guard.

Since there's no proof that it could be Okiya but assuming that it is him then its possible that he's guarding Sherry or using her for bait.

Think about it

We never saw him nor did he do anything at all. He's just a random someone who has been mentionned by Gin. What if It's just a trap set up by him to lure the FBI. And why would Gosho bother introducing another dangerous foe when Conan already has Gin, Vodka, Vermouth and the BO Boss?

Personally, I think it's a simply a chance for another case of misdirection. Jodie informs us that Bourbon has the mind of a detective, so then he introduces deductive-minded people to try to fool us, such as Subaru and Sera.

Well, it sort of depends on who Scar Akai and Okiya are. If Okiya is Akai, then even if Bourbon doesn't exist someone's dressing as Scar Akai to fool the FBI, so who would that be? I think it would be supremely cool if Bourbon was nothing but a trap, but it would also be a slight letdown if Scar Akai was just Vermouth or somebody messing with us.

If Okiya's not Akai or Bourbon, and is just some guy, and Akai is actually Scar Akai who really has lost his memories, then it would be an awful lot of red herrings and kind of a wtf twist, but again, the BO fooling Kir like that? It'd be awesome.

I seem to recall that thread, but you can also find sstimson mentioning it in some other threads (in Chekhov's theory thread for example he mentioned it a few days ago)

Anyway, I'd say:
- Bourbon doesn't exist, It's a trap
- Okiya is Akai
- Scar Akai is Vermouth ( thus this is why he/she saved Conan in the robbery case )
- Sera is Akai's sister

Read the red T-shirts case (Silent Clash) again (the case that starts at file 700). Both Scar Akai and Vermouth appeared, so this isn't possible.

B-but, I thought the Vermouth from the Red Shirts case was Bourbon (aka Sera, Yukiko's disowned daughter) checking up on her uncle Scar!Akai (aka Touichi Kuroba reincarnated) who's Anokata in disguise ... my theory was wrong
