Not too mention the similiar eyes. But all of this took the mystery away from Sera.

It would have been more interesting if Sera was Shinichi's long lost sister imo

now that you metion it, im begining to believe it since this new manga came out and sera asked ran
bout her mother as if ran had already seen her...that part makes me suspect...

Right? If it wasn't so obvious that Sera is Akai's sister I would have thought she was Shinichi's somehow.

i don't really care whom she is related to as long there is a female highschool detective(and she keeps being one for at least a while)... the last one sadly was a murderer... we don't have a real counterweight to the mainly male deductive force... only Sato, Jodie and Uehara ... some more female deduction(cap)able heads can't hurt ... oh.. you may count Eri and Yukiko in too but they're more like hobby detectives (and still surpass kogoro )

that's based on character taste... however

i know that there are other women who solved cases... Ran, Ai ... but i think in these cases it's like with kogoro... they get to a certain point and then it's conan who needs to explain at least one of crunchpoints of the case
what i really wanted to express that evenso there are more women around who can solve cases but most of them aren't there for the role of a detective... they mostly have roles like corpse finder , bystander, deductionshowhelpers or conandistracter(Ran) ... oh i forgot culprit-outknocker(ran again)

I don't care if Haibara can solve cases...she's awesome without doing it...
But I have to say it's great to have a female rival for Conan and Heiji...and Sera is perfect for this role^^
