The characters in Detective Conan never age because they have actually been stuck in an endless recursion of time (of one year to be exact). Except this time, everyone remembers it.
oh god is everyone in the show an alien?!
this topic isn't important enough for general discussion or any other forum btw
*facepalm* Nah, it's not aliens, it's just another storyline that screws with the timeline. Like going from opening a brand-new Apple IIIc in August to arguing with a DVD player in March. (I think I have my months right, but the computer might have come earlier...either way, less than a year from technology of the '80s to technology of the 2000's.)
Quite simply, the flow of time is not actually important to the story, so it can be ignored.
(Er, the other story I'm talking about is Diane Duane's Young Wizards series....)
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."
Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

I remember someone said that Gosho said (okay, twisted sentence. ) that the timeline for the entire DC series is...
DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!!
A few months.
*high pitched* WHAT?!
*goes off wondering how one person can solve 700 cases in a few months*
Yeah, but remember that is Gosho Aoyama-sensei talking, "a few months" can be a frase to mislead the fans to think just between 5 and 7 months or less, "a few months" is possible to be 24, 36 months and that´s 2 or 3 years. Is Gosho talking, it can mean anything.
