Ive never been able to experience the so called "dream", all i see is black and emptiness.

if you actually experience the black and emptiness other than when you're still trying to go to sleep, then you're dreaming anyway. Your dreams just really, really suck.

Everyone dreams, but only the last one before you wake ends up in your short-term memory and they're almost never deposited into long-term memories. If you never remember your dreams it just means that you frequently wake up too abruptly to remember your last dream.

The dreams I remember best aren't proper dreams, but fever dreams. I'm prone to night fevers when I'm ill and fever dreams are weeeeeeeeeeeeird.

Weird, though I don't help when I try to encourage them in certain directions just before I wake up/while daydreaming to continue on from an earlier dream
