All that happened when I wasn't around. Makes me wonder whether I'm actually staring at all of you just like that:

So one day, as I was working away on my homework, I heard a noise. A light tapping. Maybe it was just the wind, I thought. But there it was again. My ears strained to hear the noise. Now it's less of a tap and more of a scratch. The sound becomes more constant, the scratching more desperate. I went downstairs, following the sound. It led me to the front door of the house. As soon as I was in sight of the door, the sound disappeared. I then turned on the lights. A paw suddenly claws out from the lower left corner of the window by the door and the tap resounded in the front door hallway. I went up to look at the door and there I saw a cat.

I decided that I shouldn't let it in, since I'm not its owner and it's probably looking for that person who would feed it. Unfortunately for me, a neighbour who was smoking outside saw this desperate cat and (more or less) urged in a if-you-don't-do-something-you're-the-worst-person-alive manner that I have to take the cat in.

It was a mistake, as it bolted into one of my roommate's room, and he doesn't like having anything there alive. It was lucky that my other roommate came back to coax the poor animal out to get some milk and water to drink.

Unfortunately, we had to let him go, since we don't own him and if we domesticated him, then he'll be more dependent on us, and no one in that building could afford to care for that thing.
