If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

1. There are many countries I like but Japan sounds nice and not to hot.

2. Norway, it's almost the same language and it's beautiful there.

Case 1: Japan~
Case 2: Austria~

I just love Japan, and when I did a project on Austria in the 5th grade, the towns were so cute looking and colorful.

1)
a) Japan! Cuz it's awesome!
b) USA! Cuz they are awesome too. Usually.
c) Sweden, Norway somewhere up north! The people there seem fun.

2)
a) USA :) Don't have to learn much anymore.
b) Japan. Well, I'd try to learn Japanese then? ;p I plan on learning it anyway (question is when?)

1. Either Japan or Germany, though I'd probably pick Japan.

2. Australia.

dilbertschalter wrote:The idea of this is simple: if you had to live in another country, what would it? There are two variations on it though.

The first variation assumes you could magically learn the language of the country. Instantly, you would be able to speak the language fluently/write at a high school level. What country would you choose given that?

The second variation assumes you know nothing about that country's language and have to learn it from scratch (even if you do know it in reality).

What would you choose in each case?

In first case I would go with Austria/Germany.  I love the German language and i go to Austria each vacation since 10 years. I absolutely love the country. Germany is close second/ I'm in love with Ludwig II, the king of Bavaria and I’ve seen almost all of his fairytale castles/hideouts. I love Munich, visiting it from time to time and the people there are so NICE to outsiders... I would love to speak German fluently and feel at ease being there... or in Switzerland ;D
But at the same time, I would love to be born in England and study common law. I think that point of view on law is so much better than civil law known in the other parts of Europe… And English is an awesome language! *and my father is half-British, which makes me ¼ British and that makes me so biased*

The second case would be... Korea. [s]Yeah, not Japan.[/s] Their language seems super difficult to me, not like Japanese or China-Mandarin. And their culture is so unique. And OMG, I love k-pop. I’m such a loser.

Same here \o/ :)

There are plenty of other options I wouldn't be too mad about though ^^ As long as it's warm. And has good food. And nice people. And beautiful landscape. And sea. So, yeah, Italy or Japan I guess XD
