Do you have to play realtime at Chesscube, or can you play a turn-based game over several days?

yes, you cant play a turn-based game, but u can always chose time/ratings

I just joined Chesscube, but it looks like the longest time between moves is 1.5 hours.  Am I reading that correctly?  Or is it possible for me to make a move today, you make a move tomorrow, I make a move two days after that?

We could do this here, you know. Open an off-topic thread and call it "Game 1: c-square - [opponent's name]"^^

Hmm... That's not a bad idea.  I'm actually tempted to try it.  Would you be up for a game?

EDIT:  Nevermind..  I just tried setting up a board in text, and it doesn't work.  I'd rather not use chess notation, as that means I'd have to maintain a board on my side.

Yes...
Tomorrow. I'll go to sleep now.

Perhaps this Chess Diagram Generator will be useful...

Hey, that's not bad.  Okay, let's try a game with that!

Conan324, would you also be up for a game here on the forums?

Chess match in DCTP forum seems to be a pretty interesting idea. I'm actually considering participating in one too. However, I don't log in here that often and it would be embarassing to be badly beaten... ;D

Well, sounds like fun. It has been a long time since I played chess. Not counting the computer in that Windows game, I mean against a human opponent...

you can't play like that, i mean you can't make a move today, and the opponent makes a move tomorrow (whats the point actually? you will lose youre train of thoughts)

Unfortunately, with my schedule, I'm unable to set aside an hour or more to dedicate to playing all at once.  Therefore I need to be able to make a move here or there, whenever I can find a minute to do so.  I'm able to check in many times during the day, but I also need to leave the computer quite often too.

It looks like playing here on the forums might work out, though, so I'm looking forward to that.  Why don't you and Schillok start a game?

Sure!  Grab Conan324 or Schillok and start one.  Or, if that doesn't work out, I'd be happy to play one with you too.

I have no problem with playing simultaneously (after all, there's no time limit)(but not more than three at the same time). So, just open up a new topic like c-square did. But you could also play against someone else who said he would like to play, like Umandsf or Schillok...
