Well, considering that almost all cases span about 3 or more weekly chapters, he doesn't have to come up with them that often.

Well, no offense to Gosho, but he isn't exactly reinventing the wheel week-in and week-out. :-X

He only has to come up with around 16 cases a year, so it's really not a big deal at all.

He could be doing what the mystery writer for that "case" was doing, making his assistant test out the murder method on themselves. So it's understandable that he can't exceed 16 cases a year since he only given 10-12 assistants per year.

lol...  :P wasn't there a case like that?

Anyway... I'm pretty sure inventing the chess is easier than playing against players that are good with it. It's also the same with the rubix cube and most puzzle games.

So far, video games are the only ones I can think of that can either be harder or just as hard as the game itself when creating it.

Gosho is actually the one behind all those murders.....and then he tries to cover it up and blame someone else in the series ;D

I think it's worth mentioning that someone in A4 commented that DC is similar to CSI, repetitive and boring... I don't know how he/she sees DC but I think there are cases that are kinda similar in a way (usually the motive part)...

BTT: Like any other writer, I think Gosho has his own set of influence when it comes to creating cases... Maybe I'll have to personally investigate him to find out his secret  ;)... Nowadays, it's really hard to come up with a totally new idea so if ever Gosho don't actually refer to any kind of source and solely rely on his own "creative imaginative criminal mind", hands down for him... He is truly the best mangaka there was, there is and forever will be... ;D
