they say "God loves drunks and babies." Basically... The kid was saved due to 3 things...
1) he was properly strapped in
2) he hit the tracks before the train hit him [and was somehow out of contact with the electricity]
3) the kid probably had no idea what was going on... so if he woke up he wouldn't have raised his head causing death, nor would he tense his body or struggle while falling causing the pram to fall differently.

I live 3 train stations from where it happened. Thank goodness the baby's alive!
