Me too, because words are understandable as long as the first letter and the last letter are as they should be. If it's in the middle, then the eye can skip it because just from seeing these letters, the eye can tell what the word is suppose to be and you don't notice the change because you could see what it was.

The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm.  Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! if you can raed tihs psas it on  !! 
This was once sent to me by my english teacher, I can show the whole mail if you want. If you read "raed" as "read" and you don't notice the spelling mistake, then there is nothing wrong with your mind.

See... It's not always true. That is only the case for simple words. You get a complex word, and that whole theory goes to naught.

And even if that were the case.... You should still be able to tell that the word is misspelled.
