My mom always listens to these kind of songs, so I grew familiar with them.

Btw, is The Carpenters the two singers, a boy and a girl?
The name does ring a bell.

Yep,it was the Brother that comes up with the songs and play the music, and the Sister sings them ^_^. But the sad thing is his sister died when she was 32 so they disband...:(

Talented people always die young....

Just 32? Sad, indeed  :-\

I can barely remember my mom hearing carpenter, what i know for sure that she had once a best of cd that she always did me hear it along on the car lol

It's very funny when we travel by car, cause each family member like a different style of music, so it's aways a mess, like, my mother like this kinda of music, carpenters, elton john, michael bolton and so forth, my father likes pink floyd, rush, iron maiden... my brother likes the same as me, cause i always put my songs to play when he's nearby, cause i don't want him to hear filth bands, and so, i like aerosmith, new york dolls, yardbirds, etc  :)

Well... YEAH... that happens ... with family trip and all, everyone insisting on their music XDDD but nowadays, we'd just end up with each has either an iPod or a simple mp3 player XDDD Problem solved XDDDD still it's kinda sad XDDD in a way XDDD

I've listened to a lot of the Carpenters music when I was little, actually. :P  I still need to take a look around for the cassette tape a used to listen to.

Karen Carpenter died 26 years ago...all by eating disorder, such a shame.
