Little Riddles II

Well, if you are very, very tired of Lateral Thinking and yuo think your brain is coming out, I thought to change a little the logic problems and here I put some riddles.

I wanted to post this on kat1214young's "Riddles Riddles XD" thread, but I noticed that there are already riddles there so....

1) The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

2) I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.
What am I?

3) I am the black child of a white father, a wingless bird, flying even to the clouds of heaven. I give birth to tears of mourning in pupils that meet me, even though there is no cause for grief, and at once on my birth I am dissolved into air. What am I?

4) Pronounced as one letter,
And written with three,
Two letters there are,
And two only in me.
I'm double, I'm single,
I'm black, blue, and gray,
I'm read from both ends,
And the same either way.
What am I?

5) I fly, yet I have no wings. I cry, yet I have no eyes. Darkness follows me; lower light I never see.

6) What jumps when it walks and sits when it stands?

Woaaaa~ how cute!  *knees go weak, heart melts*

There are many kangaroos and wallabies around my place of work, an observatory near Canberra. When we drive home, down the mountain, we have to be very careful not to crash into any of them.

CANBERRA???- As in Canberra-Australia? Wahhh, can I come and visit you  :o ? Well, I've actually been to Sydney for a couple of weeks last year, but not enough money to do any travelling around so the only kangaroos I saw were the ones in the zoo  :'(

Sure, you're welcome any time. :D  But I must warn you, you will find it hard to resist taking a wallaby home.  ::)  And you'll have to buy an additional return ticket (assuming you're coming by plane). I think the little one in the pouch can fly for free.

Be careful I might actually hold you to that- in about 1 1/2  - 2 years when I finished school and have the money necessary  :-\ - well you said ANY time  :P. But I'm not sure if I could do that to the little one- a 24hours flight is reeeeally long... and the weather is wet and cold... (we even had snow last week :o )

I wonder if we're still going to be frequenting this forum then.  :-\

24 hours is long. You must be nearly on the opposite side of the globe! During the flight, I think the little one will be snug in the pouch, though it might get hit on the head if the big one carelessly lowers the tray table. They'll have trouble in winter; I don't think there are raincoats that will fit, and they'll find it difficult to jump with snow boots on.

This talk about kangaroos is making me want to take my Winnie the Pooh book out and cut out the kangaroo pictures. XDD
