You can be female and king. Well, strictly speaking, you could be female and Pharaoh. The name escapes me right now, but there was a female ruler of Egypt who decreed that she was Pharaoh, even though only men could be Pharaoh, but because she was Pharaoh nobody could contradict her. Gotta love circular logic.

My bad story: Reading fanfic that's making me cry a lot. I mean, it's damn good fanfic. I love it. It's fantastically well-written and characterized, but...

But...

not sure who you're thinking of there, but there was more than one female Pharoah so though it was rare, there wasn't any law that strictly forbade women from being Pharoahs.

Fell asleep around 15-16 and woke up at at midnight Fell asleep again for a few hours but I woke up again and now I can't sleep again ^^'
I was only supposed to sleep for one hour but I refused to get up from bed when mom tried to wake me ^^'

Hmm.  Well, my grandfather has been on the brink of death for quite a while now.  He just died a few minutes ago.  I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but I've been very apathetic about it because we already thought he was going to die weeks ago and I didn't know him very well at all from the start.  However, a lot of times, when I'm sad or when something happens that should make me sad, when people try to talk to me about it, they always end up saying that one thing that makes me a lot more sad than I first was...  This time was one of those times.. That's why I don't like being comforted.. argh..

I know what you feel like Graywolf, I had a similar situation with my step grandfather. Even though the funeral was on my birthday and it was raining and I was pretty young, I didn't cry.

I also don't like being comforted ._.;; ...Well, I'll take a hug if I need one, but words just make me feel worse most of the time -_-;

That's how it was for my grandfather as well, so I feel ya on that. D:

I'm also not much a fan of being comforted, though it's less that it makes me feel worse and more that the way many people express condolences feels so canned and insincere that it just doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

my laptop audio jack malfunctioned and now I can only hear audio when I have my headphones plugged in. o__o

Damn you ASUS, I'm starting to lose confidence in you guys...

You sure it's the audio jack itself? Because I've had similar issues crop up on other computers I had, but it ended up just being an issue with the setup of the realtek audio center stuff on my computer, so you might wanna check out your audio drivers or somethin'.

no it's just ASUS making crappy hardware ~
I've fiddled with the drivers and registry files, its the audio jack.  Happens a lot with the ASUS series that I hhave

Seriously, WLC... I know you guys stockpiled ridiculous amounts of road salt over the autumn after what happened last winter. We've had no snow this year. You have no excuse not to ice the roads when they are this damn icy.
