What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

Re: What's on your mind?

Post by mangaluva »

Some people take a while to find what they want to do with their lives or enjoy doing. My dad didn't find out what he really wanted to do until he was thirty and what he does now and enjoys doing isn't really anything to do with what he studied in University. My mum took even longer. A 35-year-old coworker of mine just quit his 15-year career in retail because he finally discovered that what he really wanted to do was teach English in Thailand.

It's okay to not know what you want to do just know. It's okay to keep looking, to flit around a few different things, to try stuff out. Everybody can do something. You draw really adorable pictures, Yuri, and I don't doubt that you have plenty of other talents. Some may not have revealed themselves yet, but you will. It's okay. You've got time.

You have no idea how I despise it when subbing groups add "special effects" to their subtitles.
ARE YOU TRYING TO COMPETE WITH WHAT I'M SEEING ON SCREEN? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO DISTRACT ME FROM WHAT I'M WATCHING? YOUR EFFING SUBTITLES WON'T MAKE THE FLASHY ATTACKS FLASHIER!

You do realize that the Netherlands aren't in a great position in case of massive flooding, do you? ::)

Eh, I'd go with Scotland, or somewhere near the pennines. England is rather...flat. But that's nice of you to think about your people

I think we're having two different point of views here.
You growing up in The Netherlands, and me, not too far from the Alps ;D

OMM: This time I brought my driving license in the UK, I thought maybe I could go sometime for a day near the sea...except that if you're less than 25 there's a massive fee applying for car rentals... urgl, for once I was happy to drive
