You are presented with two boxes. One is empty, and one is filled with money, you don't know which is which. You may only open one box.
With you are 3 people: One who tells 100% truth, one who tells 100% lies, and one who randomly chooses to lie or tell the truth. They know which box the money is in, and you may ask any two questions to them. You can ask the same person both questions, or ask two different people a question each.
What two questions do you ask to guarantee that you get the money?

Do they know what the secret of the universe is? If so, I'd rather learn that than find out what box contains the imaginary box money you made upAkonyl wrote:the other guys know everything, what's in each box, who's who, what each guy's favorite food is, etc. You're the only one who doesn't have a clue.still.looking wrote:Does everyone know who who is? Well see, unless the secret of the universe is "yes" or "no", I don't think they're going to be very helpful in that.hakkaino7 wrote:Do they know what the secret of the universe is? There's nothing stating that their answers are limited to only 'yes' or 'no'.Akonyl wrote:Well see, unless the secret of the universe is "yes" or "no", I don't think they're going to be very helpful in that.hakkaino7 wrote:Do they know what the secret of the universe is? Anyway the first question should be:
Ask A: Is B less honest than C ang go to the less honest one. liar will send you to truthteller, truthteller will send you to liar and random person will send you to either one.
Then ask that person: Will the other non-random person advise me to take the left box? and take the box the other person would not advise you to take. (like hakkaino7 already said

This sounds correct. Though I can't think of a right question to know what the secret of the universe isSayumi wrote: omg... this threat.. so long ago... *feels nostalgic*
