What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

Is it okay to leave some things vague? It's not that I don't have the answers for some of the questions in my screenplay, it's just that I don't want to write a wall of exposition to explain every little thing, and I'd like to think I gave enough hints to explain some of the whys.

This is probably the biggest thing I'll need feedback about after people read the thing.

1. I think you mean is.
2. Where do you need everyone for.

Because I've just spent a week learning to be an English teacher, I do feel obligated to point out that it should be "everyone is". In this case, "Everyone" is functioning as a single unit, so it's "is" rather than are. If you were specifying multiple separate people, you'd say "are".

Examples:

1. Everyone is here
2. Conia, Slider and Kor are here.

well, considering you are on an English forum you might pick up on things like this eventually :3
I know I've advanced a lot since I joined forums like this one.

It'll get a lot better if you can spend some time in an English speaking country!

OMM: funny how everyone is speaking about their English. British people are having a hard time hearing my French accent when I'm speaking, they usually know I'm not "from here", but can't really find out where. Good. I usually wants to awkwardly shuffles while screaming "yessssss", except you don't do that in front of your banker... ::)

I made a video presentation for my Chaucer class, which features me attempting to speak Middle English. I'm going to upload it to youtube and post it when I'm done!

Currently, it's rendering. Then it'll be uploading. Then it will be bedtime.

I've basically fit an entire senior-level course on Chaucer into a single week. A single, exhausting week. The big research project is still to come, and I've got 2 whole days to finish it. I'll be gathering data tomorrow, I think, then Sunday I write it up. This is all I can think about right now, if you can't tell. Frack, I really need to unwind.........

Finally got Plex working, so I can have better streaming from my NAS to all of my devices.

Unfortunately, I have to pay around $5 for the apps for phone and tablet. It will be worth it though to be able to watch Detective Conan and few other favorite away from home and without subscriptions.

@Hime-chan: a lot of people have this funny look on their faces the first time I talk to them as they're trying to figure out WTF my accent is and usually within half an hour they've asked if I'm Canadian or Irish :x. It's mostly Scottish, but with a lot of American twang.

I'm trying not to laugh very hard, 'cause that's how I'd imagine a French peasant from a remote location would sound if they spoke English.
Good work, Shiro! I'll admit to not listening to everything, it's just 10 in the morning, on a Saturday. I hope you'll have a good grade!

It must be really confusing, I bet! Do you parents speak with a more American accent?

Some people think I've got a "northern" accent, and I don't know if it's a leftover from my time in Newcastle (but I highly doubt it), or if it's got to do with my slightly southern French accent being thrown in my English!
But I'm too lazy and don't have any access to a university library to do any kind of research on that :D
