^True. We know that he's not completely heartless or bad, since when he was at Date's grave he called him an 'old friend'.
My reasoning for why he hates Akai so much is probably because Akai -unknowingly- did something to Date somehow.

Wait, how did Date die again? It was a car accident, right?

I agree with JD- there. For Bourbon to dress up as Scar Akai, Vermouth's help would have been necessary, yet at the "mall incident" (red shirt case). Gin seemed to be oblivious of the fact that they were about to shoot their comrade. Therefore, Vermouth and Bourbon seem to work quite close together, something that Vermouth seems to hide from Gin. This enables her to control or atleast influence the results of Bourbon's investigation before they get to Gin and Vodka. Either Bourbon himself has an ulterior motive that makes him side with Vermouth or she merely manipulates him. It could be possible that in the end Vermouth tricks Bourbon into saving Conan, executing him as "traitor" afterwards to keep her involvement a secret.

P.S.: Is this the first time, that Myano Helena's code name appeared?

Amuro/Bourbon won't be a complete villain. He's likely going to have some sort of understandable reason for us to sympathize with his hatred of Akai (possibly stemming from an accident or incident that Akai was involved in causing and maybe indirectly) and will probably act in a reasonable capacity as far as his being a "villain". He's already showcased in his Scar Akai appearances that he's not evil, so you can expect that to recur when his true nature is shown in his Amuro form as well. There are a few ways his character could ultimately be used, but I suspect he'll end up being much more good than bad.

Have we already discussed Akai/Okyia's neck? Whatever lasting mark there is, Ai was aware of it, because she tried to identify Okyia by it earlier. I would guess it's a scar with an emotional connection concerning Akemi. That would make it reasonable for Ai to remember the mark. It also would be a good base to develop her relationship with Akai once he revealed himself. I'm not totally sure if Ai thinks of Akai as partly resposible for her sister's demise. Yet she seems to have atleast a little bit of trust in him. Akai, however is very inclined to Ai's well-being. He might blame himself for Akemi's death too. Also, the promise he mentioned to Ai, was most like a form of last wish, to protect her little sister that Akemi send in the still unknown P.S. of her last mail to Akai/Moroboshi Dai.

Here's my theory for the next file:
-The maid (probably even the woman on the wheelchair) is/are B.O. members. This explains why the maid runs 'pretty fast' like she has done some 'kind of sports'. I'm not really sure about the old woman, though. I have a feeling that she was just forced by the maid to cooperate.The reason why they were sent is because Gin wanted to make sure that Sherry would be killed, since he doesn't fully trust Vermouth.http://www.mangareader.net/detective-conan/818/3

He's also 100% sure that if Sherry is inside the train, she will be killed despite the obvious distrust in Vermouth. He must have some kind of plan to back up his confidence. This also explains why the maid didn't ran off when the smoke came out, because they probably already knew about Vermouth's plan (from Gin)
*Haibara also said that she feels "a strange sort of presence" and "not just one or two people". If we count all the B.O members so far, there are only 2, Vermouth and Bourbon. Unless she included Okiya, which I doubt because she seems to have stopped sensing something from him ever since she showed trust from the past few files.
-Amuro=Bourbon is not a bad guy. There's just no way conan would let him get close to his friends, especially Ran, unless he's certain that he's completely safe.This makes me think that the reason why Conan videotaped the suspects is to make Amuro aware of the spy (if there is).Amuro probably has no intention to kill or hurt sherry, which would be a big problem if Vermouth or a spy is at the scene because their intention is to kill Sherry.
-Sera probably knows something about Amuro Tooru or at least recognize him in some way. That's why they knocked her unconcious , even referring to her as an "obstacle". Amuro Tooru also hasn't shown himself to Sera yet. It's like he's avoiding her on purpose.

i've been around this forum for a long time already but just decided to join now.. i can't help myself from not responding to your discussions.. ==



yeah i've been wondering too, why did conan film the suspects running?.. it didn't have any relation to the solution of the case...


and about amuro being bourbon, even if i don't read any theories, i would have suspected it was him when he announced "fire" to everyone when he just saw the smoke.. knowing that he is more like a detective, he would have checked first the room inside if there really is a fire before causing a panic.. (adding up that the passengers in that car were all victims of fire) thus, it can only be explained that he already knows what that "fire" is and perhaps been waiting for it.. it's also strange that conan just went with the flow.. i mean, knowing him, he would also look inside the room, maybe conan too is expecting that "fire."


i also noticed this: when sera was saying "shuu-nii" (older brother shuu) during her sleep, http://www.mangareader.net/detective-conan/823/4 [at the last panel] okiya smiled, and that smile was not that, you know, a smile of someone who's plotting something.. i can be imagining things but i feel like that smile was a soft one.. like he's touched or happy or something.. it makes my heart throb while seeing that smile.. :") this makes me think that okiya is really akai..

but it's not just this that makes me think that okiya is akai.. ever since this scene http://www.mangareader.net/139-8668-16/ ... r-621.html [last panel again] i bet from this time conan is already planning the upcoming events together with akai.. it just makes me think how can he meet akai (or okiya) in that red, yellow, white case when it seems accidental to me.. so what he already knew that the apartment okiya was living in would be burned and that way he could make an excuse to make okiya live in his house??? i don't know..

[EDIT] i just read the case now.. it seems that conan already knew the address of the apartment beforehand. http://www.mangareader.net/139-8669-8/d ... r-622.html perhaps akai told him that he would be staying there for the meantime (note: the apartment is also close to prof. agasa and shinichi's house).. maybe they really did not expect the fire accident but it did good to them because they would be closer to each other (literally) and could have a lot of time to talk without being suspicious..


ah! i really wanted to read and study DC again from the start.. i want to see what i'm missing, but to do it, i need a couple of months and i don't have that kind of time right now! i wish we don't need to study in school anymore.. hoho just kidding xD

about Kid being on that train.. it's not really impossible because to be able to steal whatever he is going to steal in that train, he needs to study the layout of the train beforehand because not doing so would be a complete disadvantage to him.. HOWEVER, i just hope that he would not be of major role here in this arc.. maybe just a cameo is enough and i think it would be fun.. unless he is related to BO somehow? though it is unlikely.. generally, as much as i like kaito kid, i want him to be out of this for now.. x)

I pretty much agree with this. I like Kaito, but only at the absolute most do I want him having a minor role. If it was major......guhhh

While I do enjoy the fact that you gave links to specific points were mentioning, I should say that it would be a better idea to have a dctp reader link rather than an outside source. Considering that DCTP is likely to have been the group to have translated the files on other manga sites, it makes sense to link only to them. ^^

about this, after looking recently at parts of Chek's theories about Akai, I thought it might've been something in th name and the address of the place Okiya was staying that gave Conan a hint about Akai. Conan also deduced the address was nr. 23 A instead of just nr. 23 and the hint might've been for Conan in case he ever came across that address, not to mention Haibara passed by it every time from school and the identity of the red guy was the first to be revealed.

well, I just hope that before Okiya wants to confront Amuro, Conan will show up and explain some things for us
