I kinda doubt it.  Gosho hasn't really done anything with homosexuality, so I don't really think he will.  Could be type of friend, type of fighter, etc.  Especially if Sera's not from Japan.

She's not necessarily a lesbian. As said before, the remark on Ran being Sera's 'type' could be like 'type of opponent' or idol as it was just after a fight. Of course, we can't really know for sure as we haven't really seen anything after the reveal. Until the characters ask about it, we can't know

Also, I just looked over the Chinese scan.

There's definitely something with Sera's knowledge here. Unlike the pages from before in the middle, it doesn't seem as if Sera messed up-er, well, no. That's not really it. It doesn't seem as if Sera messed up by accident.

She messed up on purpose, IMO. Right as she's going through the whole 'Oh man, this is embarrassing' jazz when the weak point of her theory is pointed out, she brings her hand to her face. She then looks to Conan behind her with a...suspicious grin, to say the least. To me, she almost seemed to be waiting for Conan to correct her. However, when 'Shinichi' calls, she seems off kilter like 'What's going on here...?' From this I definitely believe her ultimate goal was not to get near Ran or Sonoko or even Shinichi, but Conan. As others have pointed out, the flag on Conan's pants may indicate she has something to do with the London arc. This is also slightly backed by the fact that she seems to be a foreign exchange student with an English catchphrase.

All in all, just some more mindless speculation

Like in Ghost Hunt, when John says that maybe Masako is Naru's patron, which makes sense to him, but then they tell him that word doesn't mean the same thing in Japanese.

Ah, that would be an interesting twist on a character. And I believe it'd be something new.

Remember that we're reading an english version and that, no matter how good the translation is, some formulations in the raw can be more ambiguous than they appear in the translated scans because it can be extremely hard to convey the meaning properly in another language. I'm not saying it's the case here (in fact it could be just as straight forward in the raw), but people should always keep that in mind.
