This story gets weird more and more... Looks like next file will be about hiding Kudo from a police and running Ran around the forest to find Shiragami... What's an idea? It's soooo silly to believe in forest demon by villagers, but it's totally naiv from Ran to think seeing Shiragami would help Shinichi regain his memory. Well, maybe Ran was completely desperate. I guess it's only reason. What's happening to Gosho? This story isn't in his style at all...

Anyway, it's not surprising that Ran is getting herself into trouble.  This arc had only two logical conclusions.  One is what seems to be happening, with Ran in danger, and her screams or what-have-you trigger something in Shinichi's mind.  The other is similar, except instead of her being in danger, she finally kisses him, bringing back all his memories (with an emphasis on her).

We need to see how bad the fall was. In one of those panels Ran thinks that she can't move. Of course, that might be more despair than physical trauma.

Heh, how many of you will blame Aoyama's divorce if he stuns you by killing Ran off?

Heh, I can't say I don't want to see Ran and Shinichi kissing, but it's too optimistic and fairy. Gosho didn't even let Sato and Takagi kissing! I think we will see it at the end of DC.

Btw, I've created a perfect story for this case. Ran fells off from a cliff and loses her memory, then Heiji, Kazuha and Kogoro run into the forest to find her. Unfortunately, Heiji hits into a tree and loses his memory too. Kazuha also becomes amnestic after hitting by a Deva's King statue. Kogoro is so desperate because he can't find Ran, so he suddenly loses his memory. Then we will have a big amnestic hole. 

Sorry I'm so malice, but current case is a bit annoying for me. I don't understand what's going on at all. Amnestic Kudo, Forest Monster, Almost Murdered Reporter... 

Hey, yesterday something occured to me. Makoto was so big admirer of Kudo, maybe he killed his parents to made Shinichi come to his village. But Kudo didn't solve the mystery and Makoto got depressed, becasue his beloved detective wasn't so good as he thought. Then he became a Forest Guy and planned to murder Kudo or blame him for many things at least. Crazy thought, but every other theory was invented.

The notion of Shinichi standing over a body with the weapon in his hand reminds me of the "Kindaichi the Killer" case in Kindaichi Case Files, where Kindaichi was in a very similar situation, just suddenly finding himself standing smack-dab in the vicinity of a crime scene. 

Though this case is getting pretty damn weird.  I wonder if the Shiragami character has anything to do with "the truth that shouldn't be said".  That *might* be where Ran heard that Shinichi will get his memory back from seeing the creature/person.

Hahaha..  Everyone looses their memory! Perfect solution!! Then everyone in the village will be involved and they all somehow get amnesia. And then, the entire village is blocked off from public access because everyone now fears that it's Shiragami-sama who's causing all this weird amnesia epidemic. And it all turns out that Shiragami is an innocent person who just ended up being there at the wrong time. 

As for your theory, I like it very much. It makes a lot of sense to me.

So, the case takes another turn. When Ran said that she will give Shiragami her heart, I instantly thought there was that possibility that Shiragami was the real Shinichi. I could easily see a scene like this happening:

After Ran begs for Shiragami to restore Shinichi's memory, Shiragami instantly hugs Ran and whips off his wig.

Shinichi: "Hey, you said you'd give me your heart, right?"
Ran: *blushes and then slaps Shinichi* "Idiot! You made me worry so much!"
Shinichi: *grins* Sorry sorry. I didn't want to be seen.
Ran: "But wait. If you're really here...then who's..."

But I hope it goes a different direction than this. This is just a bit too predictable for me. I hope Shiragami is definitely someone else. I feel like running into Shiragami and throwing back all his white hair.
