Yeah I read it, and going by that it can’t be the first patient either, because he didn’t know that two other people were gonna touch it. I remember reading it differently in Japanese, though… maybe I’m dreaming…

The reason you remember it differently is because someone translated it as the fat guy wiping it off earlier in this thread.

I don't get this glue thingy. If Akai used glue to mask his fingerprints, that made his fingers slippery enough to drop the coffee can, won't it make Conan's cellphone sticky because of it? They could have utilised Conan's identical phones instead.

I also don't get why Amuro is having a great deal on the sequence of leaving fingerprints. Akai and Conan could have imprinted Kusuda's corpse fingerprints to the cellphone before burning, if he thinks Akai faked his death. Maybe, it's Gosho story exposition. Oh well.

I'm just wondering if Sera and Ai will appear during these chapters...I mean they both are supposed to confront Akai,or at least know the truth about him.Which is why i kinda hope Amuro will back off after his confrontation with that fake Okiya,and then come back and take Sera or Ai as hostage.that way he would force Akai to face him for real.

Sera and Ai will find out about akai on their own moment and time. It doesn't have to be rushed just because amuro will find out about it! And I Highly doubt that holding Ai as hostage is a possibility at the moment since Amuro doesn't even know her(and her connection with akai). REMEMBER? He thinks Sherry is dead!!!

This one got me wondering. Didn't Ai already have a partial confrontation with Akai? When they were in the car and she tried to take away his scarf and he said something like this being outside her domain.

She had the flashbacks to Moroboshi Dai, so I concluded she already figured the link, especially since this would explain Okiya triggering her BO-sense.

Is there enough left unfinished for there to be another confrontation between Ai and Akai?

Its True that she has shown signs of suspicion for thinking that Okiya might be akai, infact, judging from what I've observed, She has been wavering from two conclusions:
- he is Moroboshi Dai (Akai Shuichi)
- he is actually a BO member that has come to finish her off (Bourbon in other words, but she wasn't aware of his existence until after MT case)
Another weak possibility is that she might've thought he is both, but judging from her serious behavior after remembering akai's quote("the detective boys barbecue" chapter), she seemed sure that he had betrayed the organization. And recently, I suspected she could put the two with two together, that Dai is akai, after hearing bourbon explaining to kaitou kid that Dai was a snoop of the FBI, but after that cherry blossom chapter(when she asked conan about the canned coffee) I gave up on that suspicion.

I flew away from my point a little but even though okiya and ai had that moment in the car(that only gave ai a warning), One can only ask for a concrete confrontation!!! Face to face!!!

can't tell for sure since its a rifle that any agency or bureau would use. Don't know if there is an agency who specifically uses a M16. Or maybe it's play of words....I dont know :/

Before this gets out of hand: He definitely mentioned MI6 (M-Eye-Six) as in the real-life spy agency also featured in the James Bond series, not the firearm M16 (M-Sixteen).

Well she probably still think that Okiya=Dai,but she still doesn't know that Dai=Shuichi,and that he used her sister to infiltrate the organisation,thus leading to the death of Akemi.(Ai only refered to Dai as the guy who betrayed the BO,she never said he was the cause of her sister's death).
This is why I'm expecting a confrontation between them face to face...there is also the issue of Akemi's PS to solve,i guess it has something to do with Ai.
Akai mentionned once that he wasn't ready to face her(vol42) so it is something he has to do in the future.

I'm also expecting Amuro to figure out that Sherry is alive.I mean if he thinks Akai faked his death,Amuro could also think he did the same with Sherry's death(since Amuro saw Akai in the MT case).I think it would be nice,so that he could actually talk to Ai about his relationship with Elena.I mean it's her mother after all,perharps Amuro could reveal things about her to Ai.
