Last time (before 800) I made a similar poll (here) to see what people think will happen in file 800. While said file was sort of underwhelming, it did eventually lead to the long awaited DB BBQ ca- I mean the confrontation with Bourbon in the train case.

So... what are you expectations regarding file 900?

Amuro will figure out Akai is alive and Subaru vs Akai will go on I guess, Sera may be included in it but I don't see the girl being included...

Can't actually vote, but I'm posting so I don't forget to later. I choose "Some plot threads of this arc will get resolved, but it won't be the end."

I need to think about it for a while. I'm not sure what I want to happen and expect to happen, as they're definitely two different things...

I think that we will discover Amuro's intentions, and Sera will be playing a similar role as Eisuke in the Clash of Red and Black (but I assume that after this she'll be staying around like Haibara and Jodie did after they were relevant ). I have no idea what will happen with Subaru, though.
So "there will be another confrontation, but not the end of the arc" in my opinion, because the only way I think that the arc could end is with Amuro dying or something like that.

Call me overly optimistic, but I'm expecting 900 to begin the final act of the current arc, which will ultimately wrap up everything Bourbon related and set up for the final B.O. arc. It's been a while since we've had something big, and I don't see it dragging out to 2015.

But more seriously, I expect the start of some mess involving a Masumi insert, Hidemi possibly being threatened or kicked, and Amuro getting close to identifying Okiya if he doesn't already make those steps in 893 to 899. We'll probably have more Amuro flashbacks running up to 900 which will give clues to this PSIA mess because Gosho usually likes to send those in clusters, and he favors dishing out clues about people's pasts and motivations right before clashes so Conan can get a disarming deduction monologue in later.

We'll no doubt find out Amuro isn't a very bad guy, even if he is involved in the Organization. Amuro's reason for hating Akai and the FBI will be very sensible, if those were the actual facts. Naturally there will be a few things Amuro has misunderstood, probably because he was lied to. Shuu and Conan will clear some of it up for him. If Amuro is unlucky, he'll find out Vermouth manipulated him. Either way, he will have to either die or give up on Shuuichi. Maybe his time with Date will figure into this. If Amuro survives and isn't put on a bus, maybe he will become the Black Organization equivalent of Kaitou Kid to Conan, someone on the enemy side who is basically a good guy that gets a kick out of annoying Conan.

Somewhere in this mess, Ai will figure out who Akai is, the issue of the PS will be resolved and Akai will have to answer Shiho's questions about Akemi. Ran may get involved too, because Ran is like the Spanish Inquisition.

The beginning of the resolution of the Bourbon arc is what I'm hoping for, but I know it's going to Yamamura's love story.

I'm going to be optimistic and hope for the conclusion of the entire Bourbon arc. The arc has been going for what, 7 years now? It should be about time to end it. The vibe I got from Chapter 893 is that something huge, much bigger than Mystery Train, is on the way. The chapter was even titled "Bourbon's Pursuit, Scarlet Prologue" which suggests that this is the start of something big, an introduction of sorts. I mean, think about it, with this last case Bourbon has officially acquired all the information he needs. The only thing left is to find Akai himself, and since Amuro already knows where Agasa lives, that shouldn't take long. Akai's fake death is out of the bag. I'm expecting something like Clash of Red and Black, a multi-case confrontation arc. Besides, it's DC's 20th anniversary, I;m sure Gosho wants to do something huge to honor it, and he already mentioned in an interview he wanted to write a big BO case this year. Now seems like the right time.

Unfortunetly I already know my expectations will not be met in terms of plot. My expectations in terms of length of this upcoming clash is for it to last as long as the Red/Black Arc.

What obviously is going to happen is the showdown between Akai and Bourbon, perhaps a Kir sighting as well? Then things will get resolved and go back to normal just in time for another appearence of Sera's mystery child which we in turn will have to wait for File 1000 to find out more about them.

Hm... I think that we'll get the resolution to the Bourbon arc, maybe the Sera arc too, and Akai may be forced out of the shadows. But it won't get Conan much closer to taking down the BO. This is a franchise that must be milked for all it's worth, after all. Maybe file #1000 will get us into the final act?

Akai will probably die for real this time along with bourbon. it's a fitting end for the both of them.
