If this is a set up for a change in Conan and Haibara's friendship, I really hope Conan comes out of it looking better than he did at the end of this case.

As long as the husband recognises his act, apologizes and that he won't do it again I forgive him. As Kleene said everybody makes errors, he has the right to be forgiven for what he's done if he recognised his error and regretted it.

PS : Hey! Haibara said Akai's sentence in "Genta's dad is the culprit" case xD. She said to Genta "So Kojima-kun, don't make such a face. Wait for his return (refers to Conan)"

Hey I found the proof that Akai is left handed o_O Dunno if it was mentioned though (if it was I'm sorry) but in the Next Conan's hint" at the end of ep 552 the hint is "Left-handed" and there's a picture of Akai writing in a notebook with his left hand o_O (Maybe I have never seen that "Next Conan's hint" because I would have rembered, it sure surprised me though..)

I feel like some of you are forgetting the fact that there will be a small, defenseless baby in that house soon. What if he loses his cool again? Abusers frequently feel remorse, after the fact. It doesn't stop them from doing it again, nor does it stop them from escalating it. How can Conan be sure it won't get worse another time? Like was said by Ten:

And he was never aggressive before, beating up his wife or anything. So there is not a huge risk. And the wife can always put him into jail later too.

Most of the time that's what people think but maybe she won't get the CHANCE to! XD

If my husband came at me with a knife instead of just talking to me and asking me gently to stop all of that, ESPECIALLY when I knew I was pregnant, I would ditch his butt, head to Spain, and file a divorce paper.

While romantic and sweet, her choice was rather... naive.

Her husband has attempted to take her life without speaking to her calmly about the situation or requesting a divorce and now it may seem as though he regrets it but they always do until it happens again. And now she has not only placed herself back into that same environment but her child as well.

That isn't a very smart choice on her part. XD
