Yay . I was always wondering about that. I need to look into it more for other evidence.

Fingerprints in this case are meaningless. Two reasons. Unless Taki. Checked then himself, then they went to a lab.We do not know about that lab, If there are BO working there, and they are watching everything, Then those fingerprints much match for Akai and Kir to be safe. Also the real report that they do not match might be being suppressed somewhere and a fake report saying they do put in its place. You need to look at the events around these events and there are too many reasons to make sure they do match even if they do not. Also it is too convenent that an arm survived getting blasted, yet in camels case being blasted completely destroyed everything. I agree a body switch happened, but I think it happened AFTER the blast by the 'planted' police car on the scene. Again the real body is somewhere being suppressed.

Also I am sure a funeral happened off screen. Questions
1) was it open casket
2) if all this including the funeral was faked, how was it done.
3) and before our red herring showed up, what convinced Jodie that there was no question but Akai was dead.

Well Subaru showed up after Shuu vanished
He could be Shuu in a Mask to trap down the Organisation.
Listen carefully to what Subaru says.
"I was looking for a man I saw on the tape of the robbery and I know him for a long time but he wasn't the person I was looking for so I didn't talk to him". Even the burned down house he used to life in is some kind of strange because :
Shuu lost his life in fire and Subarus new life started with a fire.

You do have a point about the two related to fire, as there are few cases about arson in DC.

Think about it:
Shuu could have escaped (somehow - let's not bother about that now) and the way Gin looked as he saw Akai.
And the way Subaru acted.
It all leads to one thing.
The Akai-san we saw in the Store wasn't the real one. It could be Bourbon or someone else we don't know.

I'm afraid to inform you these are already well-established theories and have been for quite some time already.
Apart from the connection both have with fire, haven't really heard that one before. And it's a good point at that, I'm almost positive that IS a metaphor for the two of them being connected.

But i dont think he was in 507-508.
