Re: Kinoshita Misa
In the first file about Agasa's first love, Agasa seems to recall both "Misa" and "Fusae" as being her name...
Then he goes on to wonder if it was Misae or Fusako...
Billy calls her ミス・フサエ
This makes most sense as "Miss Fusae"
However...
Hmm.

We did talk about this some already. I quoted a few posts from a discussion with you above.Dus wrote: Now that we got this out of the way, let's talk about the implications of your theory (or has that already been done?).
How come a fashion designer is working for the FBI? Such a cover would be more fitting of the BO. What does it mean that her father may have been a famous magician?
Akai asked them to follow Yukiko and the detective boys in the Secret Developer case (V41.4-6)
Spoiler: 41.6 pg 16-18
As for what the magician link means, I don't know yet. I can see a possible link to Kaito Kid being established or a convenient excuse to why Kinoshita may be able to rustle up a disguise.
I am pretty sure he is referring to Agasa.Dus wrote: How are we to interpret Billy's words in this context? Was he referring to Ai and Conan, whom they were tailing a few chapters later? Or is Agasa involved in another way? Why would Fusae want to wait 10 years if she's in Japan for a while anyway?
Jodie and Akai (V38.1-18) have already located Haibara's and Conan's houses at this point and they have been watching them (V33.9 detective agency) per explanation at the end of the Vermouth arc. Since Agasa lives with Haibara, an FBI mission involving Haibara has a reasonable chance of Agasa being present. If Kinoshita is involved with a mission about Ai, she may have the opportunity to see Agasa again. Agasa may be involved in another way, since he knew the elder Miyanos. I don't think Agasa realizes he may be involved if he is.
As for why Kinoshita would wait another ten years, she thought Agasa already had a family not knowing the kids weren't his. Also she thought Agasa forgot her entirely. I'm sure she was a little heartbroken. (The following line took place before Agasa called out to her.)
Spoiler: 40.9 pg 16

He's her stepfather? I thought he was her bodyguard.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:We did talk about this some already. I quoted a few posts from a discussion with you above.Dus wrote: Now that we got this out of the way, let's talk about the implications of your theory (or has that already been done?).

Akai asked them to follow Yukiko and the detective boys in the Secret Developer case (V41.4-6)Also Americans, like her stepfather Billy, make an FBI connection more likely. I doubt a BO agent would listen to Akai. Akai's truck was already known to Conan from the Panda case (Akai had staked out the detective agency already so he is sensitive to what Conan might remember from the P&A case.), Akai may have noticed that his presence causes Ai to flip out, (P&A case, Footsteps of Darkness) and he may be afraid Ai might recognize him, which would explain why he might have sent in other people rather than follow Yukiko himself.Spoiler: 41.6 pg 16-18

Re: Kinoshita Misa
He's "her mother's remarriage partner's friend"
--->He's her stepfather's friend.
He mentions that if his wife found out he didn't help Fusae out, she'd be mad at him, because she's a big fan of the Fusae brand.

Just to make sure I understand you correctly, Billy is the stepfather's friend, not the stepfather himself?Abs. wrote: He's "her mother's remarriage partner's friend"

Also, Abs., can you please change the thread title change to fix the name? Thank you!

@Chek
Yeah. It wouldn't make sense either, if he was her stepfather and had to explain that his wife would get mad because she's a huge fan of the Fusae brand - he'd just say "your mother would never forgive me"
We haven't ascertained for sure that her name isn't Misu Fusae (instead of Billy saying "Miss Fusae") but ok

I'd rather wait for a confirmation on the name.Abs. wrote: @Chek

If we are lucky, it's romanized in the 40+ book

Gosho canDCreader wrote: She's been in love with Agasa for 40+ years, and she thinks he's a granddad already... what a pity![]()
Did she make subsequent appearances?
And who is she, really? Is she just a fashion designer, or is there more than meets the eye? I've been pretty bugged by this issue ever since i read the chapter where she first appeared. I'm even thinking she may be related to the BO... Can anyone bring some light to this?

LOL
but seriously, I think she will have connection later, that is b/c I still think Agasa is somehow involved

That was indeed a good case despite being a "childhood friends meet again".

Why isn't the image from the mirror mirrored?

Haibara: They have a scent, a scent all of them carry...
Conan: No wonder, they're drunkards
