Text spoilers for 1061 have emerged. Read at your own risk.

File 1061 text spoilers:
Spoiler:
FILE 1061 blood stained ID

An FBI agent uses cipher to meet up with a partner but vodka shows up to tell his partner is dead, the agent tries to flee but is intercepted by gin and killed

The next day, the db are looking at news about how 2 unidentified foreigners bodies have been found. 2 more were found the day before, and Mitsuhiko wonders why they are all unidentified

Conan tells him that the culprit probably stole their IDs and so they can buy time to escape while the vics are being IDed. But given how yesterday's vics are yet unknown it's possible they'd secretly come into the nation and were using fake names and identities

Haibara is curious about how it's been exactly 2 people each day, Conan replies that it's either a coincidence or they were ambushed during a meeting

A huge sound then rings out. Conan heads in its direction and finds a foreigner that's dropped from the opposite building

Conan tells the kids to stay away and to contact police and ambulance. If it's another double killing then the other man should be atop the building. Conan uses the telescope function of the glasses to check and finds vodka

The man who fell dead is also an fbi agent, his partner was killed and he had no way out so he apparently fell down himself

Conan strongly tells Haibara not to show her face, telling her the bo is involved, and leaving her to take the kids away

Conan covers his head with the hood and approaches the body, Gin orders Chianti and Korn to kill him, but Kir, down in the street, tells him that there's more onlookers and the police has arrived very quickly at the scene, so they should give up on silencing them and leave

They hadn't stolen the dead man's FBI ID yet but since they're illegally investigating them, they don't want an internal investigation to happen. Thus gin agrees with kir suggestion and they leave.

Conan figures from the belongings that the man name is Jim Mason, FBI agent. And also a mysterious email like thing on his phone that he was probably looking at before dying

Conan tells Haibara, who is at store with the kids, to get the professor to pick them up with the beetle

Conan tries calling Akai but all lines are busy so he fears that the bo have come to his house; he heads there and hears unfamiliar voices in the study, and comes in to find many of the FBI, Jodie, Akai, James and camel too

It all began 3 days ago, when agent Aaron trailed a bo member but went missing. The next day his body turned up. And ever since then the bo had found out their meeting places

They think they had Aaron confess how to decipher the cipher used for the meetings

Were that to be the case, their base of operations hotel could be found out too so they hid in the kudo house for now

The Kudo couple cannot call for attention and asking a delivery for many would stand out so both left to go buy groceries, hence why they didn't answer the home phone

Akai thinks they rather had Aaron confess the hotel to take out all FBI at once, so he keeps contact with agents checking the hotel

There's no presence of anyone observing the hotel in 1 km radius so he concludes that Aaron (didn't) confess

There's no report from Jim and Chen who volunteered to check the meeting spot but Conan tells about Jim being dead. The bo should not know how to read the cipher but how do they know the meeting spots

Conan says that the cipher on Jim phone had details on location, address, day and phone number so he deduce they hacked emails to read the ciphers, but the FBI is puzzled by those details he says they are in the cipher

Would you still think he's suspicious if the Moriarty reference from his intro case (325–327/258–259) was never made?
Well mainly that reference to Moriarty and a couple suspicious points : (some of which quoted from this site: https://poirotcafe.proboards.com/thread ... s-theories)
" First, he was born in England in the Baker Street district, giving him a Sherlock Holmes connection, but then he goes on to say that he was raised in Chicago, and specifically mentions that it was home to the infamous crime boss, Al Capone. But MOST important, at the end of that particular adventure, Conan comments on the name "James," and Ai speculates that he likes it because of James Bond. Conan disagrees, and says it puts him more in mind of James Moriarty."
The problem with that interpretation is that this case took place around the early middle part of the Vermouth arc, when Goshō was trying to get us to think that Jodie, Shūichi and James were all BO—when they all actually were with the FBI—thus, the Moriarty bit is a red herring, as much as anything that pointed to Jodie being Vermouth or anything that pointed to Shūichi killing the serial killer in New York during the Golden Apple case (350–354/286–288).

Now... could Goshō have James be BO, after all, and thus the Moriarty bit was actually foreshadowing and not a red herring? Sure, it's possible. Could you argue it'd be more interesting and meaningful if it suddenly became relevant again and recontextualized not only a case from 20 years ago (Files 325–327 came out in late November and early December of 2000), but the series, itself? Sure. But to me, it's more likely it was just a Vermouth arc red herring—a thing of the arc it came from, not a clue for the future. It's going to take more of the full picture being disclosed, as you put it, for me to see this as more than a mere possibility/hypothetical to remember just in case it becomes a twist.

Lastly, if he's really a mole... James has had great access to both Shinichi/Conan and Shiho/Ai. That needs to be factored into this theory.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

To be very honest, althought I like it that the bo is finally making a move, i find it very unsatisfied cause i feel like the plot/setup is cheesing again.
Seeing Akai among the FBIs publicly really makes me feel all the previous planning is insignificant now

Oh, you mean it's coming off to you as if there was no point in Team Conan keeping the FBI in the dark about Shūichi being alive at all? I'd say there was a point up to Team Conan finding out Bourbon was NPA, and up to them forcing him to (at least temporarily) call off his vendetta. Plus, there's the new circumstances of Shinichi's name being publicized back in the Kyoto trip case.
In other words, the FBI not knowing Shūichi was still alive was significant during the Bourbon arc, but the Rum arc has changed the situation/context... so yes, "now" it doesn't bear much import.

What we've got so far about file 1062:
Spoiler:
The file starts with Conan solving the code, followed by Gin having a flashback of Vermouth, who apparently has something to do with the code. The Kudo's arrive.

1,062 spoiler pics are now out.
Spoiler:
Vermouth is looking at the code, and Kir is with her.

Rum speaks to the BO members.

Gin snipes a car and hits an FBI agent.

Yusaku speaks with Jodie, and the Scarlet Prologue case (Files 891–893/Episodes 779–780) is brought back up (at the very least, a character from it is referenced—Jodie's teacher friend, Natsuko, the victim of that case).

Hey guys

Clearly think that Rum is someone close to the FBI...
But where's Bourbon in this case ?

And Kir going out with Vermouth...There's a high probability that something is gonna happen within them.

I've got that question in mind since a long time : what about Koji being the son of Kuroda or James Black...

I find it very unlikely. We know the names of Kouji's parents, and insofar we have no reason to think Haneda Yasuharu is pretending to be someone else.

If RUM was close to the FBI, the BO would've razed the Kudo house and anyone else involved by now.

As for Bourbon, we dunno. Maybe he's got something else to do.

Let's not make conclusions before the full files are out or the case is over.

Natsuko Shibuya? Wasn't she placed in the same hospital and even in the same room as Kir when she was injured from the fall off the stairs back then? ;D
Image

And shortly after that incident involving Natsuko the FBI (or Akai specifically) received a texted phone message from Kir saying that "RUM is on the move?" So it was roughly the same time when Natsuko Shibuya hired Bourbon to investiage her stalker that "RUM is on the move?" ???

And speaking of which... was Bourbon even famous as being a private detective for hire? I thought he was only known as taking the job at a cafe so how did Natsuko Shibuya knew Bourbon and why did she hire him to investiage her stalker instead of contacting her FBI friend Jodie?
<spoiler> well not really something worth spoiling but it hides the large pictures ;D

Again, we don't know the full context so don't draw hurried conclusions from only tidbits of the chapter.

But yes, I always wondered how she or the previous client found about Bourbon to hire him, maybe he posted an advert somewhere.
