(SPOILERS!) What could the story right now lead to?(Ideas + drawings)

What Rei knows:
- vermouth secret
- conan is a real detective and the mastermind of the fake death plan
- Conan works with the FBI
- FBI works with Kir (in other words, kir is spy)
- conan knows where Akai is and they share information(like conan telling Akai about Bourbons nickname)
- Agasa is also involved in this matter
- akai and conan knows that Rei in fact is from the secret police!! (Conan saying "liar", revealing that he knows)
- lastly, that gin might become trouble for him since he wants to take action against the rats in the BO.

What conan knows (new info ofc):
- Rei knows that he works with the FBI, as well as Akai who's in hiding
- Rei knows About Kir being a spy and that she is working with the FBI
- Rei knows he is a real detective and the mastermind of the plan
- that Rei works with the secret police
- that Rum is suddenly on the move
- that rei has a grudge against akai
- that Akai wants to protect Ai(or at least new info for us readers)

EDIT: there is no reason to hide that THEY KNOW SOMETHING anymore. We have already gone past that situation. That's why conan shouldn't have problems with warning Rei about RUM!!!

Still wondering in what scenario Sera will meet shuukichi. It's kinda weird that she haven't seen him yet since she got here, since he should be visible on TV. She even noticed kogoro on TV. But I guess not seing her brother for three years might be a reason to not being able to recognize him directly IF she saw him. Even yumi, who has been dating him didn't know about his fame so I guess it's not so hard to miss him on TV. I'd guess that she'll meet him in a random occasion when she's just taking a stroll with ran or something. That would be funny.

I'm still hoping that Shuukichi isn't Sera's brother,i just can't believe that she didn't recognized him on TV or newspapers.And the way he's only focusing on Yumi is disturbing for me.I mean if the child is their mother he isn't worried about her?

who says he knows about the mother's situation? I think it's kinda sweet how much he likes yumi but I can agree with you that someone from the Akai family being a bit to childish-like, or acting the way he does, can sometimes be soooo disturbing!!! >.<

I think Yumi wasn't really interested in him when she dated him. She's one that loves to play unfair with loves and love. That's why she didn't really notice what he really is doing.

actually ur wrong, she was head over heels for him. Remember that flashback that showed what made him start that title hunt? Also when she first mentioned him to conan and DB she said that he was childish BUT also handsome. That indicates that she really was in love with him, but because of his long absence after giving her that letter(when she suggested that they should break up because of her job), she got annoyed and dumped him. That only indicates that she lacks Ran's patience...

@AICHAN: You have a point, but if Shuukichi is the middle brother and Gosho don't want to reveal it to the fans, yet; it's obvious that we wouldn't get a scene where he worries about his mum, who shrank, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't worry. Shuukichi being the middle brother is obvious to some fans, but there are still fans, who speculate that someone else may be a middle brother.

I also find it odd that FBI's agent's brother is a shogi player, who is lovestruck in the traffic cop, but if we look differently at Shuukichi, him being the middle brother can be kind of surprising. I mean, who would thought that a shogi player, who is interested in Yumi is the middle brother of Shuuichi. I like the idea of Shuukichi being the middle brother, but he has to have role in DC other than Yumi and shogi. I wonder, if Shuukichi would be introduced before Akai or before Bourbon arc, at least, if he would still be the main guess of being the middle brother. However, considering their similar first names; I think that some fans would get the idea of Shuukichi being the middle brother.

Yumi was crazy about him,but since he keeps secrets from her she choosed to break up with him temporary.I think I like that more that Ran's behavior of always waititng patiently.It adds more spice IMO.

Anyway Shuukichi being the middle brother would be too obvious in a way,when Sera mentionned having a second brother I immediatly thought about Shuukichi because of his name wich is close to Shuuichi.His behavior when he solved the case was really similar to Shuuichi.

Well maybe I'm just annoyed at how Gosho handles things lately,so I hope being surprised.

well, it might seem obvious but one cannot just deny big hints that points to the answer. I'll save the surprises to who the BO boss is, as well as how the mystery girl is related to all this, u should do that too

Yeah nevermind I kinda like the idea of Shuukichi being Shuu's brother,the contrast is really nice and funny,and their interactions should be interesting.But I really hope his role will be bigger than being Yumi's lover and Shogi player,as Soul dreamer said.

really I never thought Akai's family would be that important to the plot.Him having a sister was already a shock,but now we have the middle bro,his possibly shrunken mother,and the mysterious death of his father.I just hope Gosho will give us also information about Ai's parents soon.I want to know more about Elena and finally see Atsushi's face!!!

So I reread chapter 899, to remember how the days were ordered as well as picking up new hints. What I noticed though was that the fans/hotel workers said that the opponent got nervous when the sealed move was revealed, as well as the commentator saying that Haneda had a chance of winning. Could he maybe be the one responsible, who made all this trouble only to make haneda lose by default? He had sent that letter before he knew about the sealed move so could he have just done that to increase the chance of keeping the title?

What also bothers me is that the shadowed person from two days ago said "a game of OUR own", indicating that at least two people are in on this kidnapping. Did the opponent have an accomplice?

Also, when yumi fled from the cafe, and when haneda got stalled by a fan and then leaves as well, yumi disappeares. But what we see in the same panel is a rather flustered or worried mysterious person in a car. I honestly got the feeling that the mysterious person was yumi, who just hurried into the car and got a little worried of haneda finding her whereabouts. Could Yumi have brought her friends with her to create a fake kidnapping(after being convinced by naeko that haneda really is a meijin) to put haneda to the test, to see how far he'd go for her after leaving her behind to make her wait? If that's true, it would make sense that she lied about throwing away the envelope(who might have a marriage contract inside, like haibara said). I doubt that Gosho would just let yumi throw it away after building so much mystery around it.

But what do you guys think, could it be the shogi opponent? Or will this be another of gosho's small twists?

I think Shogi opponent (you mean his current opponent?) would be too obvious and besides shouldn't the kidnapper be with Yumi all the time? It's kind of risky to leave her by herself, unless he put her in the place where she wouldn't be able to run away from.

The biggest story development that could happen in the Rum arc, that would make me rise from my seat, is if one of the spies that infiltrated the BO got killed. But I was hesitant a little if gosho would pull a new REAL tragic death in the serie, so I guess this is mere speculation. As much as I like the spies, Kir and Bourbon, for an awesome, but sad, story development I'm kinda hoping that one of them will die during Rum's pursuit. And I'd rather want kir dying than Bourbon, since he just got introduced as a spy and we haven't seen enough of his new side, plus it would make a great comeback for eisuke who'd wanna take revenge for his sister. But what do you guys think? Will Rum actually succed in killing one of the "Rats" in the BO? If so, which one?

I agree with you that death of one of BO's spy would be great plot development and if that happened, then I would say it will be Kir and it would always be nice to see Eisuke. I'm actually hoping that we will get a death of one of recurring character by the end of the series, but Gosho better not kill Amuro off.
