Based on Sera's thoughts about Shinichi in the latest chapter, it seems she has known/strongly suspected Conan is Shinichi for a while now. If you think about it, before she saw Scar Akai, she might have wondered if Akai had "height issues" like Conan which is why he vanished.

if sera thinks conan=akai then she have to  blind after all conan lacks bags under his eyes.
conan also does not resemble akai in any way.
and most important point ,conan is cute while i don't think akai is cute   after chekhov's laughing face of akai that gave me heart attack. i will never  consider him cute .

Conan is a kid, if Akai was a kid, he could be cute as well.

so when akai was young :=his hairs were staight, he lacked eyebags. he was cute.
and now he can't recognise his young sister whom he made to go to USA when his cover was blown up.

Oh, and the shape of your hair might change as the time goes, not to mention that when Akai had long hair, it was mostly straight, if not wavy. So that argument also doesn't work.

Doesn't seem like Gosho does a whole lot to hide the Sera-Akai's-Sister thing and it also seems like Sera knows about Conan.

My only complaint is just the bad exposition to the case, it just seems like Gosho doesn't even try and instead he's doing a self-parody

Sera is Bourbon and she's also Gin's sister. She grew up with someone who didn't smile a lot, and she hates Akai because she thinks he made Gin sad, so in order to make Gin smile, she wants to kill Akai.

Why do Sera yell out loud when answering a phone call, 2 times against Ran in File 797 and 798 in anger without knowing a detail and Conan in File 801, trying to burst their eardrums huh.

When there is Scar Akai, there will be Jodie. See if Jodie appeared and meet Ran, Sonoko and Sera coincidentally and they meet Scar Akai together.

Well, reading file 801 , it seems that from the previous case to this case has passed some days, and conan said that he has to go through round after round of police questioning... So I think that we´ll have some flashbacks

I thought this case was pretty funny =D (minus the grisly murder scene at the end of course, Aiyumi-chan is so scarred for life =\ STOP TAKING HER TO MURDER SCENES, CONAN, aka THE GRIM REAPER'S ASSISTANT) (does that say something bad about me?)

haibara: "genta's growth journal" (seriously... lol.... and what is with Haibara and her constant health mania =D (did someone she know die from heart disease?))

              (wait ... not completely sure because of the idiot Conan uses ... is this Conan lightheartedly nagging about the couple being embarrassing and rude in this sort of situation .. as in...  that even a couples' pets / guests (the DB) are neglected and become invisible once an argument between a husband/wife begins)



Referencing my bad guesswork earlier about them being brother/sister (lol) I STILL SEE NO WEDDING RINGS IN THE CHAPTER?! Are they really hating each other that much and unfaithful to the point they hide they are both married (or what am I missing?)

To the case, yep, looks like someone hid both phones early on and carefully staged the whole case really.

As before Haibara's camera work during this case is interesting to me (in this file Sera also thinks of Haibara from that camera work in that previous case with the persian rug) -- so I look forward to the culprit AND either Haibara / Conan getting in trouble after the video of this outing gets into SOMEONES hands once the police come to investigate and there is a look at the video (Conan's age defying 'dog's being not fed' idiom & Haibara's age-defying wit about Genta's growth video and Agasa)

Now More (fun and largely baseless) Sera speculation, based on this idea:
Sera's affection for Conan in the present is easily explained if she was fond of him when they were childhood friends/classmates.

So, who thinks that Sera is actually Conan's mom?

After this case I'm sure there will be more of this speculation... Sera seems to have a 'mother-like' concern for Conan's but I have different speculation about what's behind this... (she is obviously not a Shotacon -- Sonoko is never right unless Conan is pulling her strings =D )

It seems Sera has known Conan=Shinichi from the beginning and that she has known Shinichi "since a long time ago" (ie: met him in childhood) not "for a long time" (ie: watching him closely his entire life)  (maybe this is also a possible interpretation of the translation for what Sera was thinking?) ...  

Who else would know for a long time about the Holmes obsessed Shinichi and what he looked like as a child? (Parent's/relatives (Yukiko...), their acquaintances (Vermouth...), childhood friends, the B.O.??)


She said she was born and raised in Japan, she never has mentioned where in Japan she grew up (maybe Abs or someone can comment if any of her dialogue hints at her accent and upbringing) -- If someone moved back here from America wouldn't you be curious and ask where in Japan they grew up???

Perhaps Sera met Shinichi when they were both at roughly the same age as Conan is now.  That would explain how she discovered his true identity and his love for Holmes obviously (recognizing and recalling him from her past) -- of course Conan wouldn't recognize Sera since he hasn't seen her since elementary school.  If that's so the relationship between Shinichi as Ran's "boyfriend" must be hilarious to Sera, and understandable she want's to see pictures of Shinichi -- she's simply curious to see how he grew up -- what he looked like in teenage form =Z.

Everyone who is complaining about this file is crazy. Does Vermouth need to flash the readers before certain people are satisfied? I don't understand why people are so offended by the DB that they justify moaning about a file which also includes info on or appearances by nearly every single plot important character, and a major plot development on top of it. Haters gonna hate, but sometimes it becomes too retarded for anyone else to believe.

They talk quite a bit about the previous case's aftermath which is good, otherwise the gap between the last file and this one would have been jarring. I expected the jump though.

Sera pretty much confirms she knows Shinichi is Conan and is now trying to work on Haibara. Sonoko inadvertently helps. People looking for an excuse for them to clash now have one. Then we have Sera's person who never laughs. One guess who that is. Sera does blush when thinking about meeting Amuro; their Gundam chars were close after all. Somehow I don't think Akai would approve of that part of the conversation. It would be amazing though if Sera and Amuro did go on a date, even if they both were trying to only trying to use it to gain info.

I have no idea why Haibara would upgrade Okiya to "Subaru-kun". The only things he did was get into a car chase, almost draw a gun, and generally emit a scary aura. That must have been some really good cream stew.

Amuro takes a day off, Scar Akai appears in front of Sera by the detective agency.  :-X Scar Akai isn't Sera or Okiya, so that leaves Amuro or a third party.

@Haibara: With the Flashback showed, Haibara liked that Okiya was so serious about rescuing Conan.
Also, Okiya seems to bribe Haibara with food a lot lately. "The way to a woman's heart is through her stomach"? XD

I'd find it a bit boring when Amuro is really Scar Akai now. Even without Check's deduction, you can see that Scar Akai isn't Okiya, and can't be Sera anymore either. After that file it's too obvious, no mystery anymore :V So a third party would be more exciting imo for Scar Akai. (or gosho should go to the final end of the Bourbon arc! XD)

Or Amuro being SA and Sera being Bourbon XD But that doesn't seem to fit somehow.

Would be fun when the woman isn't actually dead, but it's still a part of the play XD Thus no murder this time. XD

I can imagine her talking to Gin:

Sonoko: And that Haibara girl acts like an adult woman sometimes, as if she's actually a adult that shrunk! Imagine that! She's also very smart and seems to do stuff in the basement, working on the PC. Oh, and she's also very unsocial and she's also usually very tired, probably get's to sleep very late!
