Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
so we're in agreement? someone moved his head?
and with the matter of body switching not being possible (i'd like to see Akai move an adult body to the position he was lying without causin any suspicions and noise in even 10 seconds)
then Rena being the one who did it is the most logical explanation, unless we start to go supernatural.

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
Or he moved his own head. I'm an "Akai is alive" believer after all
Then after the bomb was placed and Rena left, Akai had more time to switch bodies

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
Why would Rena move his head? o.o
Akai had 2 chances to switch bodies:
1. When the blood disappeared.
2. After Rena AND GIN left. :3
3. Anyone have any things to add? xD

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
if u include Rena and Gin leaving, u would see the body was still in the exact position when they left, meaning Akai had to switch the body and place it in the exact position in most likely 15 seconds (explained b4 that's most likely the time set on the timer)
of course ur theory would only work if Gin left b4 Rena (or a few seconds after), for in the manga it does not show.
so 1 + 2 doesn't seem likely

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
It's easy to put the body in the exact position. Our minds aren't meant to measure perfectly (without a tool) so who cares if it's less than an inch away from the actual spot.Rellik wrote: if u include Rena and Gin leaving, u would see the body was still in the exact position when they left, meaning Akai had to switch the body and place it in the exact position in most likely 15 seconds (explained b4 that's most likely the time set on the timer)

15 seconds is more than enough time.

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
Akai isn't superman
Akai has to move an adult sized body (hidden from view) with lack of movements (Akai will get caught if he move out of the car) into the position he is lying from (and with the body's hands in the pocket as well) in 15 seconds. (seriously 15 seconds ain't that long) - try looking at a clock and imagine Akai doing what i just said.
And another question is, why bother moving the body to the position he was lying from? he can just dump it in the front seat and escape, it's only the police who's gonna do the forensics anyways.

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
No, because, when the police takes pictures of the "dead Akai" in a different body position, the BO will doubt his death when they see the newspaper. And the one seen in the same position (in the manga) after the bomb was placed is the side of the head only (shown at 3 sec left), not sure of the body. So he doesn't have to arrange the body exactly, just approximately the same way.Rellik wrote: And another question is, why bother moving the body to the position he was lying from? he can just dump it in the front seat and escape, it's only the police who's gonna do the forensics anyways.
Based on my calculations, he can carry the body to the spot in about 10 seconds and arrange in 5-10 seconds, assuming Rikumichi was dressed in the same way he is. After that, he can just roll away.*Note* if the 30 sec anime bomb timer is canon, then this trick works w/ less rush & more accurate positioning
edit: wow, screwed up with the link

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
I agree with yume_no_meitantei about if the 30sec in anime was right and also in the anime even before Rena started the bomb timer, Gin and Vodka left a few sec already so its pretty possible. I think the anime is pretty precise and more detailed than the manga and i believe that to be true unless they will make Akai alive in anime and not in manga... is that even possible...

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
They did it with Miyano Akemi, Haibara's sister she made it out alive in the anime but dead in the manga although they had to "fix" it later so they can actually introduce Haibara.chitz38 wrote: I agree with yume_no_meitantei about if the 30sec in anime was right and also in the anime even before Rena started the bomb timer, Gin and Vodka left a few sec already so its pretty possible. Never underestimate animators ability to screw up the plot.

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
carry? u make it sound like he is doing it on a coach, the height inside the card isn't that great, carrying it won't be possible.

Re: Akai (SPOILERS)
How come it's not possible if you carry the body parallel to the ground? It might not be that easy but it's 100% possible, unless he screwed up with the time limit. BTW, even if the "height" (opening) of the car door is not that large, a lying body can still be put inside.
