Why is Akai holding a gun? And if he is Bourbon, would he save Conan like he is doing?

If he is either the real Akai OR Bourbon, having a gun is a normal thing.

If he is Bourbon: the reason he saved Conan might be because he's already figured out Conan = Shinichi ... so he didn't want Conan to die at the robber's hand (just like Hakuba doesn't want KID 1412 to lose to anybody) until... he catches him himself

The bankrobbers dropped their guns to those hostages who were supposed to blow up and thought to be the bankrobbers by the police so the "Akai-thing" picked up that one I guess.

If it was the real Akai, he shudnt even hav a gun in his possession, so he probably did pick it up.

also he shud hav been tied up and he managed to remove evrythin except for the tape on his mouth.

well both akai and members of BO can probably do it

well theres only 3 ppl tat can be this 'Akai':

1. the real akai
2. vermouth
3. rena

why wud other members of BO give themselves away by shootin a robber to save a kid? they r pros, not ppl who 'plays around' wit their targets. Quick and clean, tats their rule.

About your first point: why shouldn't a FBI agent have a gun with him?

I have a hunch that "this Akai" is Bourbon, and that he's already discovered that Conan = Shinichi.

Well, not because he saved Conan, then he's a good person though.

because his a presumably 'dead' FBI agent, gettin caught wit a gun dsnt do him any good. and i keep thinkin buyin a gun is easily tracable (if i kno my stuff u need a background check anyways so its def not an option for akai)
