Well, since no one has posted yet...
A basic thing for solving cases is to think this way,
"If I were the murderer, what would I do?"

Well, a good start makes the journey enjoyable as said..
According to what Miyano says, I agree. It's really very important to judge the crime then the criminal and find a way out using correct reasoning supported by logic. Well, i also have a idea to discuss cases from the series ... Or make some ourselves.
Always remember, the one who uncovers has a more technical brain then the one who does..

And that might work for the normal criminals. But how do you solve crimes where the crime happens because the criminal is insane and there is no logic then? How do you solve "crazy" crime?

Well, the answer to your question is like this...

If there's a crime that have been really done by someone whose mental condition is not quite balanced, then it is first inspected thoroughly like any normal cases and the questioning session is a mild one. . . They care about the the murderers brain too that it might even be injuries to their life as the mental condition or state is not quite known to us. . And if all the clues pin point to that particular person then he/she is taken to a special court and then the further discussions are carried over their. But, its true every time that we do really need to have logic to solve those, even much more utilization of logic is necessary.. Hope i answered well. Thank you!
Well, as there's logic everywhere around us.. Here's a question...
This is one is really important, there's one rule * Just one.. I promise *
Everyone, will try on this one and then i will reveal the logic behind your answer.
There's two picture hung, both are spaced by 20cm, say.. One has a painting of a old lady looking at the stars with hope and joy in her eyes.. And the other one is a painting of the sky with lost of stars and beautiful blue sky, just like what the lady was looking at. But, this time she's not there....
You are asked to choose one .. Now, choose.

I'd prefer the second one, instead of the old lady, it would rather be me looking at the sky...

painting of the sky with lost of stars and beautiful blue sky.
In order to answer your question and just a little fun
1)First I think you meant LOTS there
2) But then we have a problem. Normally with a Blue Sky you have at the max two stars, the Sun, and Venus (the Morning or Evening Star). Okay, Venus is not a star, but since at times it looks like one it gets that name.
3)Maybe you did indeed mean LOST of stars, but under a blue sky, that would be normal, as the stars are washed out by the brightness of the sun.
4) The star part can not be under a blue sky. But for the moment lets say you are using an alien sky, then again any blue stars would again disappear in the blue sky (Blue on Blue is hard to see)
The First Picture is a completely Logical thing, but the second can not logical exist Unless that picture is showing both the blue sky and the space beyond, something you did not mention. The second would be nice to see, but as described is impossible (You can not look through the blue sky to see the dark space behind it)
