Hardest Cases for Conan/Shinichi?

Postby Aseel » March 26th, 2012, 12:31 pm

Is there any case that DC almost give up on solving it?
I'm sure there are so many easy & normal cases.
But which was the hardest case for Conan in your opinion?
I'm talking about crime cases don't tell me Kaitou Kid ;D

The difficulty there came a mental block produced by factors external to the case- if he hadn't been a big fan of Ray Curtis he wouldn't have had any trouble solving the case.

As for my pick, all of you grouches who hate this case will complain, but the Mystery of the High Sales Case saw him whiff completely. When it comes to 'real' cases, I would say he had quite a lot of trouble with the Sonoko's Dangerous Summer whatever case; he didn't figure out who the culprit was until it was 'too late'. In general, I think a good way of finding cases that suit this description is to look for cases that involve serious danger/peril, though to be sure they are more often caused by other characters messing up or someone who isn't the killer revealing him or herself as violent (or the dangerous situation was a trap to lure out the killers!).

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

Spoiler: manga
apart from what sonoci said- I really don't think he made a mistake in this case- wasn't he all planning all the long... I need to re-read the case...

Edit: yeah he did made a mistake I guess... but I really think he just thought about it too late not the case being too hard... Of cause this mistake nearly cost his life...

Spoiler:
That one he didn't know the culprit A used a fake gun n therefore forgot that the  culprit B actually have a gun, but that is a manga case and should be in the manga discussion or with spoiler

Curtis case is a good one, but I think Episode 425- the BO Assassination case is more of an epic fail for Conan. He got his own finger print on the bug planted on Rena and then caught Rena instead of Vermouth, end up being saved by Aki's spuer sniping skills. The Curtis case the worst case was culprit getting away, the worst case in this case is that Conan and Kogoro both getting shot which Gin ordered before Aki sniped the bug.

If people keep replying to that spoilery post, I'll just have to move all the spoiler tagged conversation to the thread which discussed the case in the Story Board.

This is the General Discussion, people, so let's try to minimize the spoilers. If you do see spoilery posts, there is the report button.

Ah right, report button. Always forget about that thing :V

Anyway, as for a case that's had Conan stumped, I can't think of any really off the bat. There have been a few, though, that without some random hint from someone else, he wouldn't have figured them out. (ex: the case where Ran mentions the matching pajamas she bought for her and Conan made him realize that twins were involved in the trick, which was otherwise baffling him)

LOL. So true.

I don't exactly have a hard case- They're pretty much solvable in DC terms. (In real life, I don't know =P)
