Does Heiji actually like Kazuha?

I hate to break it to you guys, but Kazuha's only role in the show is to be Heiji's girl.  Heiji has only one romantic interest, and really one other friend besides Kudo - and that's Kazuha.

Come on, of course Heiji likes Kazuha.  It's the same Shinichi-Ran romance - childhood friends, embarassed about love, detective boys, martial art girls but scared shitless by ghosts.  COME ON.  Lock this thread, now.

But it's to discuss whether or not he likes her, first of all, noting that it's LIKE so that's room for a discussion on whether or not he's in love with her or likes her.

Second of all, it's a way to discuss whether he likes her right now or does not as of the moment.

We all know they'll end up together in the end, the question is how he feels about her CURRENTLY! XD

On topic:  Heiji can be a bit slow when it comes to dealing with romantic feelings (unless he's picking on Shinichi of course), so there's actually a pretty good chance that he doesn't even know how much he likes Kazuha.

Just because you know what's going to happen in the end doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist.

Then we wouldn't have the couple threadslike KaitoxAoko or AyumixConan or SatoxTakagi.

And that's your argument to the thread. XD I'm sure there's somebody out there who disagrees with him liking Kazuha.

I feel like he likes her as well, but has some reason for not wanting to admit it even to himself. Maybe he's worried it could ruin the relationship they already have?

We don't know what will happen between them, everytime when Gosho started to make hints that he might actually have the same feelings she harbours for him, he let Heiji do something... incredibly stupid afterwards =( So, sometimes, very rarely, I ask myself exact this question.

Gosho might do this to them for the sake of comedy, but... I think it leaves enough room to discuss things =) 

So... I guess there is no need to lock this thread, right?

I think Heiji has no clue at all what he is feeling for her. She is his friend, his childhood friend, they go to school together... and that's it. But deep deeeeep down, he loves her.

I'm really curious about their future... they don't really have an obstacle to bear with, to make them (or rather him) realize the true feelings... this might really take forever before he get it ;_;

If you even have a bit of doubt about Heiji actually like Kazuha I'd recommend you rewatch the 3 Part Magician case- 406-408 range I think. It showed how frustrated Heiji got with Kazhua when she was very close to the Magician(the Mirror of how Conan went crazy about how close Ran and Aride got in the Dark Room Murder case in 170-171.  After watching that there should be no doubt that Heiji likes/loves Kazuha. Plus saying Heiji don't like Kazuha would be totally ignoring the ShinRan HeijiKaz mirror relationship.

He does, but Gosho needs a way to continue writing their characters since couples who are actually together can't make for good drama. Or some crap like that.

IMO because of the kind of people that Heiji and Kazuha are. you get the Slap, Slap, Slap . . . Slap, and then maybe a rare complement Their verbal sparing is their way of saying "I like you".

reread the mermaid case. or the case were they were kidnapped.
they show that Heiji has feelings for Kazuha. He wants her to be safe and happy. He'd rather risk getting killed as well over letting her die and survive himself.
I think he has strong feelings for her but he doesn't understand that they are labeled "Love" by other people. He doesn't have those feelings for anyone else and therefore doesn't know into which "cathegory" they fall.
