Does Heiji actually like Kazuha?

I have been thinking about this for sometime but does heiji actually love kazuha and is aware of it? I mean in movie 7, he found out that Kazuha was his long-lost first love however, in one of the episodes (after movie 7), Heiji was (obiously) acting jealous of the little things Kazuha does or gets irritated over them but he doesn't know why. So what? He forgot that Kazuha was the first love he always wanted to find or he just wanted to know who his first love was?

P.S. Fans of heiji x kazuha, please don't get offended or whatsoever. I am a heiji x kazuha fan too.

Movies aren't canon, so whatever a character does or discovers in them has no baring on Gosho Aoyama's actual comic. That is, after the events of each movie, the anime and manga simply stick to their status quo: the movies don't have any effect them. This is why you thought it was strange Heiji was acting differently despite what happens in movie 7.

While I'm pretty sure Heiji has feelings for Kazuha, he isn't comfortable enough with them (assuming he's aware of them at all) to actually acknowledge them.

I think he really cares about her, he's either just to thick when it comes to personal matters to notice, or he's deliberately avoiding acknowledging it because he's worried about her response.

Like he said: Couples that are already together without problems are boring. Kazuha already shows her feelings openly, of Heiji did the same they would be together within a single chapter. The way things are now leave more room for drama (or comedy).

But yes: Despite (almost) everyone assuming that Heiji is in love with Kazuha he has yet to show how serious he is with it. Or if he just considers her a childhood friend that is by chance female.

I think he is in love with her but either doesn't realise it or doesn't accept it.
I mean that he has feelings for her but doesn't understand what they mean. If he described it, anyone would be able to tell it was love (perhaps even deeper than some other couples have) but for some reason (*coughcomedycoughdramacough* he isn't able to.

But there's one episode where Heiji seems to want to tell what he feels to Kazhua, but he ends up making up an excuse. It's that episode where Kazuha and Heiji are kidnapped, I think.

Perhaps he wanted to describe his feelings for her but because he doesn't understand them, he is afraid that she might take it badly

Maybe he's not really aware of this or he's in denial, not consciously. Maybe he feels he's not ready to tell her yet, because he loves her too much and they are a bit too young for a relationship that strong. But Gosho's evil and he's not going to put them together, we don't see them often after all, and they are needed in full "omg I didn't tell him/her I loved him/her and he's probably going to die." for the end.

Well that may not be true, now. ^^' I'm a HeiZuha supporter but Heiji may not have feelings like THAT for her just yet.

He may like her but in the sense of family as opposed to a romantic partner- or at least he THINKS that's what it is. There are tons of people that think he doesn't like her, you know.
