Yutaka Abe and Denjiro Maru's Meitantei Conan: Seiki matsu no majutsushi (Case Closed: The Last Magician of the Century) manga will launch in Weekly Shonen Sunday's March issue. The [s]three-chapter[/s] manga will be based on Gosho Aoyama's original story and adapt the 1999 film of the same name. Aoyama's new Meitantei Conan: Sousa Ichi-ka Hen manga will also retell the story of Conan's first case.

Apparently ANN reporters are not proficient in Japanese - they saw the number "3" and the kanji for "1" and speculated that those meant three-part manga and Conan's 1st story. Not the case at all.

just to clarify, which first case are you talking about the one in the plane, or the one before he go to the park with RAN. Although if you can think that way, his real first case might be the treasure hunt that KID Sr. set up when he was in grade school with RAN.

If it was "the Retelling of Conan's First Case" (Which I know it is not) then the question would be is it one of the ones i listed, or another case we have seen, or an as of yet unseen case?

What was Gosho's version of  "Conan's first case"?

I guess sstimson just wanted everyone to discuss "What do you think Gosho's definition of Conan's first case is?", which is off-topic as far as this thread is concerned.

But to answer that, Conan's first case is the kidnapping of the president's daughter (File 2), immediately after Shinichi was shrunken and assumed the new alias "Conan".
