I could not listen to the opening for more than three seconds without pausing it. This has never happened before. That opening synth was PAINFUL to listen to. The use of synth by the Breakerz is just god awful. I mean... really... it sounds unnatural and awkward the way they use it. Then we get to the chorus (before that, if you take out the synth, it is dreadfully average), which I cannot discern from any number of DC Opening choruses. It is generic of the worst sort. If I paused it, and unpaused it with the screen off, I'm sure I could not tell you that it was from this song as opposed to another DC opening that uses a similar chorus.

Ok, so the song was not good (It is borderline awful imo). The video... I don't know what to say... I don't get it... If "mystery" wasn't being repeated in the song, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't know that the show had anything to do with mystery. DBoys and wire cutters and a bomb? That won't end well. Walls of text reminiscent of Summer Wars? Throwing badges like Pokemon? WHAT THE HELL! Are they even trying anymore?

I personally really like the opening. The song is okay, but the visuals just make it for me. They're amazing.

That being said, is it the best choice for a show like this? ...no. It makes DC look like some fantasy adventure, when it's not. So even though I really do like the opening, I admit that it seems REALLY out of place.

Ran having stalkers apparently who has 10000 pictures of her on hexagon monitors....err...what?
Ran dressed in white standing on a crumbling pole in the middle of the city.... WTF?

just watch the opening, i guess the song is ok, but i love the clips they used bit more better then there last few openings   Ai-chan look awsome....

The opening of the vast majority of shows (especially shonen anime) should get you PUMPED to see the show. This accomplishes that.

I think this one may be getting people pumped to watch a different sort of show.

Well, true, but I'm still waiting for this to become a full romance series...or an action movie...or even a high school slice of life show.

or for the opening to any animated show to not have far superior animation than the actual show.

They really COULD have done something better with the badges. The DB could have looked just as epic as Heiji and Conan and Haibara but noooo. The kids love to be Pokemon.

One of the ideas I had was the badges hitting the floor and you see their feet walk up to them and it pans up to their faces.

(To me, that's way more epic than: MITSUHIKO! AYUMI! GENTA! I CHOOSE YOU!)

why they do thhat??? Instead of showing her weak Princess Need to  rescue .show her with bad guys around her  and kicks some ass that'll be cool and conan like wtf then she  turns and smiles  ::)
