Okay, so here I'll be listing some facts and observations:

1. The chauffeur, Suzaka-san is a lady, but she looks like and dresses like a man. Coincidentally (?) the girl (Kaede) is a tomboy girl. Hmmm.
2. Katayose (victim) has a habit of not stirring the milk in his tea. Instead he waits for it to disperse.
3. The house is full of trick art: painted corridors, painted forest with real trees in front, and a false perspective road.
4. Kaede has been targeted. Freak car(shown) and hole in the garden(not shown, mentioned by Ogita), tree house rope ladder cut (shown when Conan was climbing).
5. Kaede was adopted from her uncle in Hokkaido, rather forcefully. Katayose said that Kaede's grandma was his good friend. Kaede couldn't confirm.
6. Nobody was seen coming out of the crime scene. Ran was at corridor and Conan+Kaede at the garden.
7. First finder is Conan, when he heard a groan from the room.

Now, my attempt at deducing what's going on:

Spoiler:
Possibly the murderer is Suzaka, but the one targeting Kaede is a different person.

Why?
[spoiler]1. She could be Kaede's real mother or her blood relative who probably had some sort of history with victim.
- Kaede was adopted from Hokkaido. It is certainly not just an act of random charity
- Kaede seemed to be loved more than the 2 others
-Suzaka loves Kaede very much
- She is well trusted by Katayose and Kaede

2. The letter code probably does not lead to a treasure, but to a dark secret (e.g. dead body? Memento? Confession letter?), which Katayose wants hidden for as long as possible (therefore he left the letter in Suzaka’s care “indefinitelyâ€

This is so not true, it might be true with boys but conan is a freaking chick magnate whenever he meets a girl around his age(at school excluded), you can go back to the Ghost Ship Case, then the Murdered Magician case, all cases involving Megumi-chan, etc, bacsially every girl of conan's age have at least a little crush on conan, it just differs in how much they show it. This is not very surprising given that he is the main character and have the killer cool+dependable combo personality wise.

Now if by hit it off you mean Conan doesn't seem annoyed by the girl like he do with the girl in the Ghost Ship Case and Megumi-chan all the time, it probably have to do with how she is a victim of a recent attack and an adopted children who doesn't seem to be happy with her situation so conan does whatever it takes to cheer her up.

Trick: don't feel like posting yet. For such an entertaining Part 1, I hope the Part 2 trick won't be crap, nor the motive. (We've had too many of both of those lately.)

Spoiler: manga
Did the illusions remind anybody else of the 'Eye for an Eye' case with Heiji?

If I understood what they were saying correctly...

Spoiler:
I seriously want to facepalm at the solution.

the hit and run culprit is definitely the older brother. how can he knew that the accident happened when they were walking, and not driving? Since they went out using car, a "car accident" will make innocent people think that the accident happened when they were in the car.

Part 2 answer
Spoiler:
Just like Feb914 said, Conan assumed the hit and run culprit is Ogito. Since Ogito said Kaede and Suzaka are walking instead of driving, how do Ogito know that they are walking since chauffeur Suzaka is with Kaede if he is not at crime scene.

Then Nobue is killed by Ogito using a poison arrow, then Suzaka killed Ogito by making him fell off the cliff as Suzaka overheard from Conan that the hit and run culprit was Ogito and thought that Ouzaburou is killed by Ogito too, but actually Ouzaburou committed suicide himself and made it like murder.

At the ending, Kaede sent a postcard to Mouri Detective Agency, it said she hope to be Conan’s bride.

This is the best AO case since the seance one, no doubt in my mind.

I agree. Maybe even better than the seance one. Overall 2011 hasn't been such a bad year in terms of AOs.

Ok seriously, did they hire new writers or were the old ones from like a decade ago brought back? Because this is too good to be an AO nowadays.

A little about this writer, Tsuji Masaki. He's an 80-year-old mystery award winning scriptwriter who likes quirky mechanical tricks. I mentioned it before, but the firefly case and the flower clock case was his work. (Recall the recorder-disguised-as-flashlight contraption and the the trick involving clock hands).

The flower clock case was a bit rushed so it came out mediocre, but he started working on this red leaf case back in 2010. Number of major edits (i.e. rewrite the whole thing) he made: 4. I'm glad this turned out very well.

Speaking of name Kaede, the most memorable anime character is Rukawa Kaede from Slam Dunk. It's shown that Japanese names could be used for male and female.

Wish that Nakakita Kaede is not just one-time appeared character, just like Kamisuwa Mikihiko from Ep 594-595 and Ep 636-637 and Yatsukawa Kouji from Ep 594-595 and Ep 603-605.. And Conan's party including Detective Boys can tour Hokkaido someday, especially for next mystery tour.

She would be annoying the heck out of Ayumi as Megumi-chan 2.0. But actually if you look at the Kanji for Kaede, it is the kanji for Maple, used to fill the Red-leaves theme and her given name is Kani for "Center" and "North", with North obviously associated with Hokkaido.

Hah that was funny ask hell of a way for who killed who.  As for Kaede....I guess the people who do AOs are setting up for a harem anime with a slightly creepy twist of the main character actually being 17 incase the mystery bit of the anime ever gets stale? XD
