Finally caught up.

I had stumbled onto DC couple of months ago, while watching something else and got hooked. Took a little while but finally caught up. 634 episodes in about 6 months. Would have been faster but other issues butted in. That's about 267 hours continuous, watched about 5-6 episodes per day on average. Have finished 8 movies, 7 more to go.
Also wanted to thank the DCTP team for their superb job, specially with all the notations so that non-Japanese like me can understand the variousnuances in languages and culture. >:D

Hey congrats! This reminds me of my own story. My friend told me about Detective Conan somewhere around the beginning of summer during a movie night. We watched the Great Mouse Detective & it made her wanna watch Conan so she showed it to me & I was like uh is it dubbed? At that time I refused to read subtitles because I can't wear my reading glasses while watching a video because it gives me a headache plus I am an extremely slow reader.
Anyways I ended up watching as much as I possibly could dubbed & even bought the DVDs but I wanted to continue so I continued on subbed. It took me from July to September to catch up & this includes the movies too. I used an episode list that said when each one aired plus a movie list so I'd know when I could watch the next movie & on nights when I was up to where I could watch the next movie I freaked out.
Did you enjoy your time of catching up like I did? I'll tell you my reactions from watching it kept my parents up! They weren't too happy but I had to watch it until I was too tired to go further which was usually around 3am. On special occasion I would stay up until about 5am like if I was on a movie or a long episode or something.
By the way, it only took me three months because I usually watched around 10 episodes a day plus sometimes I'd watch like 15 or 20 but there were also those days when I was so busy I only got to watch 3 or 4. Again congratulations!

That's pretty much what I did as well, I watched like 1- 540 within 2 school months and an entire summer

haha cool! As of me, I started catching up on Detective Conan (episode 124) last July. Then I finished watching everything (including OVAs, Magic File, Movies, etc) on the last week of August! ..talking about having no life lol \m/ =))

it took me 5 months to finished catching up from episode 150 to the wimbledon series episodes..

that is impressive. i don't have the drive to watch that many episodes in a short time period anymore, though i did watch maybe 80 in february 2010 when i got back into things.

I am always in front of the computer and I am still left behind.  But it is fine with me as I prefer not catching up to wait "patiently"  for new weekly subbed episodes. Quality subbed episodes are always A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!~~~
