You know what there needs to be in the movies? (well, actually more like the series itself) A yandere character. Or just someone who is over the top bats*** insane. I mean, that would work so well for a movie. Just have some crazy person want to blow up some place because they want to blow it up. Kind of like the first movie: though the guy still had a "motive", he was still pretty insane. "My older works weren't symmetrical, so they had to die. ...What? Innocents? Pft, if they were around that garbage, they deserved to die too."
It can be the same things with explosions and stuff for all I care, but if there's at least a standout character, it'll be interesting. :V
Actually, the generic point is a huge one now that I think about it. These movies take a year to make and a year to wait for at the least, so when they're generic, that's kind of disappointing. Even for bad movies if they at least tried something new and different I'd find it more worth it than something I could see in an everyweek case. ._. IMO, the movies should be something that you wouldn't expect to see in the manga, though would still fit into the DC mold...if that makes any sense.
