It does. But the kids (the target audience) who will go see this movie probably weren't even born when that episode aired 13 years (!!) ago.

What trailer are you watching? I haven't seen one where Ayumi and Mitsuhiko are smiling at each other. Not to mention it was probably about the game. XD

MitsuAi would be new and interesting in a movie- it sure as heck would set it apart from the other movies. XD

And Ai is still wearing a spirit's cap.
