Im NOT believing this. You meant kaito knows that akai was shot and all? Because if he didnt know, he cannot disguise as Akai...and what about the scar? the SCAR!!! Why would kaito bother to disguise as akai WITH a scar? HAHAA

I think, and this is only conjecture here, but I think the BO actually has the gem he's seeking!  The tiniest bit of powder from this gem is used in the production of APTX4869, and that's what gives it its youth giving properties.  Kaito Kid has decided to infiltrate the BO in order to find this gem.  The BO, not knowing about his mission, but wanting to have access to his wide range of abilities, welcomes him with open arms.  Anokata is so impressed by Kaito Kid, that (s)he handles the affairs of Kaito Kid personally, meaning he's free to act independently of the other BO members.  He takes on the code name Bourbon (That's right!  Kaito Kid is Bourbon!!), and is instructed to use his powers of disguise to play a slightly altered Akai, in an attempt to rattle the FBI agents and make them slip up.  Kaito Kid is going along with this for now, so that he can build trust with Anokata and find out where the gem is located.
